(Temporary 7.5 Tonne Maximum Gross Weight Restriction) Order 2023
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary 7.5 Tonne Maximum Gross Weight Restriction as detailed in the Schedule below.
This Order will come into operation on the 28th day of September 2023 and will remain in force for eighteen months.
The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
