Surrey County Council Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Orders

What is happening?

A287 Firgrove Hill, Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A287 Firgrove Hill, Farnham that extends from its junction with D5320 Alfred Road, to its junction with Station Road (also known as Approach Road). This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail to carry out examinations and/or maintenance and/or improvement works to the “Firgrove Railway Bridge. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am (Monday to Friday), within 7 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times via a temporary walkway. No sole access will be affected however access for emergency services, residents, businesses, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- 1. Firgrove Hill, Longbridge, Downing Street, The Borough, South Street, Station Hill, Tilford Road, Great Austins and Frensham Road. 2. Frensham Road, Great Austins, Tilford Road, Station Hill, South Street, Union Road, Longbridge and Firgrove Hill.

Frensham Road (A287) Frensham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Frensham Road (A287) Frensham which extends from its junction with Pond Lane northwards for a distance of 200m. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out drainage improvement works, which is anticipated to be carried out between 9am and 5pm, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the signed diversion route. Alternative Route – A287 Frensham Road, C122 Old Farnham Lane, C122 Great Austins, C28 Tilford Road, C29 Jumps Road and A287 Frensham Road or vice versa.

D5308 Lickfolds Road, Rowledge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: – 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D5308 Lickfolds Road, Rowledge. 2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council D5308 Lickfolds Road, Rowledge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022” in its entirety. This Traffic Order is required to enable CG Utilities on behalf of Swish Fibre, to carry out utility Works, to include: – installing new track, boxes and chambers and/or maintenance works in D5308 Lickfolds Road, Rowledge between its junction with Prospect Road and its junction with Boundary Road. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 6pm, within 2 weeks of the 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route: – Lickfolds Road, The Long Road, Fullers Road, School Road, Boundary Road and Lickfolds Road.

A287 Sturt Road, Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: – 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A287 Sturt Road, Haslemere that is crossed by the “Sicklemill Railway Bridge” and for a distance of 30m either side. Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Farnham and Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023” insofar as affects the length of A287 Sturt Road described above. This Traffic Order is required to enable Centurion/GTM/Network Rail to carry out examinations and/or maintenance and/or improvement works to the railway bridge. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 2 phases of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 September 2023, between the hours of: – 9pm on 19/09/23 to 5am on 20/09/23, and 8am to 6pm on 08/10/23. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of operatives on site. No sole access will be affected however access for residents, businesses, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained via the alternative route: – Sturt Road, Liphook Road, Junction Place, Lion Green, Wey Hill, Lower Street, Shepherd’s Hill, Midhurst Road, Bell Road and Sturt Road.

Lower Weybourne Lane (C121) and Station Hill (B3001) Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the above- mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (1) Lower Weybourne Lane (C121) Farnham that is crossed under the bridge known as “Lower Weybourne Bridge” (23/21) and for a distance of 30 metres either side. Alternative Route: Lower Weybourne Lane, (B3208) Badshot Lea Road, Lower Farnham Road, Boxalls Lane, (B3007) Weybourne Road, and Lower Weybourne Lane or this route in reverse, and; (2) that length of Station Hill (B3001) Farnham that is crossed by the level crossing known as “Farnham Level Crossing” and for a distance of 20 metres either side. Alternative Route: (i) Tilford Road, Great Austins, Old Farnham Lane, (A287) Firgrove Hill, Longbridge, Downing Street, The Borough, and South Street, and (ii) Station Hill, South Street, (A287) Union Road, Longbridge, Bridge Square, Firgrove Hill, Great Austins, and Tilford Road. This Order is required to facilitate inspection and maintenance bridge works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be completed within 1 night, part (1) between the hours of 1am and 6am, and part (2) between the hours of 8pm and 4am within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 September 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. For part (1) access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained at all times. All other traffic will be required to follow the diversion route. For part (2) Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, all other traffic including emergency service vehicles will be required to use the diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
