What is happening?
Monmouthshire County Council Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice Section 14 - Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Monmouthshire County Council (Drybridge Street And Wonastow Road, Monmouth, Monmouthshire) Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice 2023 Notice Is Hereby Given That Monmouthshire County Council of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Has made an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
1. The Order came into operation on the 13th September 2023 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between 13th September 2023 and 14th September 2023.
2. The Order was necessary to allow for additional space to facilitate the safe operation of poling works at the location.
3. The effect of the order was:
• To temporarily suspend Parking Bays on Drybridge Street, Monmouth, Monmouthshire. Parking Bays to be suspended on Drybridge Street, Monmouth between Property no.28 – Property no.12 Drybridge Street, Monmouth and Property no.33 – Propeerty no.25 Drybridge Street, Monmouth.
• To introduce a clearway on Wonastow Road, Monmouth, Monmouthshire from its junction with Somerset Road to its point with the Roundabout. Approx ~60m.
4. This order may be cited as the Drybridge Street and Wonastow Road, Monmouth, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2023
5. By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence..
