What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

BAGGRAVE HALL ROAD, HUNGARTON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. It is expected that the Order will come into force on 02/10/2023 and have a maximum duration of 12 weeks.

The works will be completed within the period of the Order. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 weeks.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council and associated contractors to undertake cattle grid replacement works and various highway maintenance works.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via:- Cold Newton Road (Hungarton), Park Road (Cold Newton), B6047 Melto Road (Lowesby), Leicester Road (Twyford) and vice versa.

EXTENSION NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, with the consent of the Secretary of State, the Order made by the Leicestershire County Council on 16/03/2023 and which came into effect on 16/03/2023 will be continued in force until midnight on 16/03/2024 or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The effect of the Order is to continue to allow for the closure of those lengths of footpaths as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The footpaths are being closed to allow for remedial works. The Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during the duration of the Order.
