Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Latteridge Road which extends from Northmead Lane westwards for 140m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon level crossing repair works. The order became operative from 22 September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration, between the hours of 6pm on 22 September and 2pm on 23 September 2023. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Wilshire Avenue which extends from its cul-de-sac end eastwards for 40m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon sewer improvement works on or adjacent to the highway.
The order became operative from 25 September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. (Electric Scooter Trial) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, The Electric Scooter Trials and Traffic Signs (Coronavirus) Regulations and General Directions 2020, and pursuant to the Order made by the Department of Transport, under s44 and s63(5) of the Road Traffic Act 1988, have made an order the effect of which will enable electric scooters (as defined in The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016) being used in a trial, to use any road or length of road in South Gloucestershire which is currently used by pedal cycles.
This applies only to electric scooters hired from a company authorised and in accordance with the regulations made by the Department of Transport. South Gloucestershire Council is satisfied that electric scooters being used in the trial in the said roads should be permitted in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public to facilitate the extension of the Department for Transport electric scooter trial; (1) to reduce ambiguity as to where the aforementioned electric scooters can be ridden, and (2) to allow the aforementioned electric scooters to be ridden in safer areas of the highway. The order became operative from 18 September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

In the event that an appeal is made against the decision of the Council to refuse to grant planning permission for the proposed development, and that appeal then proceeds by way of the expedited procedure under the written representations procedure, any representations made to the council about this application will be passed to the Secretary of State and there will be no opportunity to make further representations.
