(East Road, West Mersea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of East Road, West Mersea in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Fairhaven Avenue to its junction with Seaview Avenue a distance of approximately 90m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st October 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001260536 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Mill Road, Colchester Road, The Strood, East Mersea Road and vice versa (with access only into East Road and Chapmans Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 14th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Sir Isaacs Walk, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Suspension of One Way)

Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Sir Isaacs Walk, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 15m west of its junction with Trinity Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the one-way restriction in Sir Isaacs Walk, Colchester in the City of Colchester as detailed in 'The Essex County Council (Trinity Street & Sir Isaacs Walk, Colchester) (Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2008' for the duration of the closure.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 5th October 2023 for 1 night (18:00 - 06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010735825 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water. No alternative route is available (with access only into Sir Isaacs Walk and Trinity Street).

The Order will come into effect on 14th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Moat Road, Fordham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Moat Road, Fordham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Ponders Road to its junction with Chappel Road a distance of approximately 360m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th October 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2350715 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Moat Road, Church Road, Mill Road, Fiddlers Hill, Porters Cottages, Wood Lane, Halstead Road, Fordstreet Hill, Ford Street, Colchester Road, Station Road, Bures Road, Chappel Road, Hall Road, Lower Road, Sandy Hill, Fordham Road, Wormingford Road, Plummers Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 14th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Turkey Cock Lane, Stanway)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Turkey Cock Lane, Stanway in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 140m north west of its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 440m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd October 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF1NFK8Y01GM - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while underground cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Turkey Cock Lane, London Road, Western Approach, Tollgate Roundabout, Essex Yeomanry Way, Halstead Road Roundabout, A1124 Halstead Road, Halstead Road, Seven Star Green and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 14th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Temporary Introduction of Clearways, Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limits & Temporary Suspension of Bus Lanes) Order (No.11) 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of road in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in that length of road as specified in the schedule.

3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

4. To temporarily suspend the bus lane restriction in Nayland, Colchester as detailed in the 'The Essex County Council (Nayland Road, Colchester) (Bus Lane) Order 2008'.

The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from

14th September 2023, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The road will

be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access

will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each

location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Mill Road West Diversion: Northern Approach Road, Nayland Road and vice versa.

Mill Road East Diversion: Mill Road, Severalls Lane, Axial Way, Via Urbis Romanae.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of road in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule.

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wormingford Road, Fordham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Packards Lane for a distance of approximately 1085m in a south easterly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd October 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2350714 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Apprentice Drive, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Apprentice Drive, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Fan Avenue to its junction with Turbine Road a distance of approximately 155m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st September 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2350019 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Fan Avenue, Blade Road, Turbine Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 31st August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Coast Road, West Mersea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coast Road, West Mersea in the City of Colchester, from its junction with St Peters Road for a distance of approximately 255m in a south easterly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th September 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC00819SEPEAPXC753 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while underground structure works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Coast Road, High Street, High Street North, Firs Road, Firs Chase and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 31st August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Dawes Lane, West Mersea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dawes Lane, West Mersea in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 215m north west of its junction with East Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th September 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010722227 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via East Road, Chapmans Lane, East Mersea Road and vice versa (with access only into Dawes Lane).

The Order came into effect on 31st August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(High Street North, West Mersea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street North, West Mersea in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Mersea Avenue for a distance of approximately 20m in each direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th September 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA002WF1V621P -Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.

Alternative routes are available via:

1. Mill Road, Queens Corner, Kingsland Road, Barfield Road and vice versa (with access only into Mersea Avenue, High Street North, Colchester Road).

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of London Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 180m south west of its junction with Horkesley Hill for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th September 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03061814332 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while metre exchange works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

(Queen Street/High Street, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane)

Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of High Street & Queen Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 85m north east of the junction with St Nicholas Street to the junction with Short Wyre Street a distance of approximately 250m.

2. To temporarily suspend the bus lane on High Street, Colchester, (South Side) from its junction with Queen Street, west for a distance of 50 metres as stated in 'The Essex County Council (Head Street, High Street, North Hill & Middleborough) (Bus Lane) Order 2014' for the duration of the above closure only.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 18th September 2023 for 2 nights

(20:00 - 06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD03162275771 - Anglian Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or

displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sheepen Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 95m north west of its junction with Middleborough Roundabout for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd September 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30092864869 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in those lengths of road as specified in the schedule.

3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

4. To temporarily suspend the bus lane restrictions in Middleborough/North Hill, Colchester as detailed in the 'The Essex County Council (High Street, North Hill and Middleborough, Colchester) (Bus Lane) Order 2014'.

Diversion 2: North Hill, Middleborough, Balkerne Hill, Southway, Headgate, Head Street.

Road: High Street, Colchester.

Description: From its junction with Head Street for a distance of approximately 15m in an easterly direction.

Alternative Route: No diversion available.
