What is happening?

WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

(U63324 Hall Green, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2023

Proposed Order: to close that part of Closure 1 from U63324 Hall Green to its junction with U63323 Hall Green; to U63324 Hall Green for a distance of 118 metres in a south-westerly direction. Closure 2 from U63325 Hall Green Close to its junction with U63324 Hall Green; to U63325 Hall Green Close for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction.

Reason: Laying new ducting by BT Openreach.

Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: U63323 Hall Green, and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 12 days. Commencing: 2 October 2023.

(B4503 Newtown Road, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2023

Proposed Order: to close that part of B4503 Newtown Road from its junction with U63535 Nursery Road to its junction with U63540 Albion Road.

Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.

Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative routes: Standard Diversion: B4503 - Leigh Sinton Road, C2205 Tanhouse Lane, C2205 Upper Howsell Road, C2205 Howsell Road, A449 Worcester Road, B4503 Newtown Road and vice versa.

HGV Diversion: B4503 Leigh Sinton Road, B4503 Upper Interfields, B4503 Lower Interfields, B4503 Malvern Road, A4103 Leigh Sinton, A4103 Bransford, A4440 Grove Way, A4440 Hams Way, A449 The Village, A449 Malvern Road, A449 Worcester Road, B4503 Newtown Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day between the dates of 4 October 2023 to 20 October 2023.

(U63550 De Walden Road, West Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2023

Proposed Order: to close that part of U63550 De Walden Road from its junction with U63551 Park Road to its junction with B4232 West Malvern Road.

Reason: Drainage/flood alleviation by WCC.

Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: B4232 West Malvern Road, U63551 Park Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 12 days. Commencing: 2 October 2023.

(C2207 Cowleigh Bank, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2023

Order made: to close that part of C2207 Cowleigh Bank from its junction with B4219 Cowleigh Road for a distance of 47 metres in an easterly direction.

Reason: Replacement water mains by Severn Trent Water.

Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: B4219 Cowleigh Road, U63528 Trinity Road, B4503 Newtown Road, U63539 Belmont Road, C2207 Cowleigh Bank and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 12 September 2023.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended)

Worcestershire County Council (Three Shires Stages Rally) (Worcestershire) (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) (Special Event) Order 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that Worcestershire County Council has made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to facilitate the holding of the Three Shires Stages Rally Motor Race through certain roads in the District of Malvern Hills, in the County of Worcestershire on 17 September 2023. In brief the effect of the order is to close certain roads or sections of roads on 17 September 2023 to facilitate the motor race event as set out in the schedule. There are exemptions to restrictions for emergency services, authorised Event officials, safety officials and pedestrian access to premises.

Approximate times of closures in specific areas are set out on the schedule attachedvto this notice, but are subject to change at any time.

The Order will be in operation for 1 day (00:01hrs-23:59hrs)
