What is happening?

CITY OF WESTMINSTER
TOTHILL STREET
THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (D ZONE) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the above Order under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order would be, on the south side of Tothill Street, to:

(a) introduce a bus pay-by-phone parking place (15 metres) operating between 8.30 a.m. and midnight with charges of £4 per hour applying between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, maximum stay 2 hours, no return within 1 hour, outside Nos. 37 to 45, Nos. 47, 49 and 51 Tothill Street - buses would be restricted from waiting in this parking place between midnight and 8.00 a.m. (the bus stop clearway outside Nos. 37 to 45 Tothill Street would be shortened by 1.3 metres at its western end);

(b) relocate the pay-by-phone parking (2 bays) outside No. 51 Tothill Street and adjacent to No. 36 Broadway westward by 3 metres, replacing a length of single yellow line waiting restriction;

(c) replace the bus pay-by-phone parking places (25.1 metres) outside Harris Westminster Sixth Form, No. 11 Tothill Street with pay-by-phone parking (5 bays); and

(d) extend and combine the bus pay-by-phone parking places at the rear of NIOC House, Nos. 4 to 8 Victoria Street to create one continuous parking place (40 metres), replacing lengths of single yellow line waiting restrictions.

3. The proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). 5. Any objections or other representations about the proposals should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, WSP Traffic Order Team, 3rd Floor, WSP House, 70 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1AF, or by email at tmo.westminster@wsp.com quoting reference 8020/HWB, by 4th October 2023.

All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
