Aylestone Road Cycle Scheme - Temporary Restrictions

THE LEICESTER (AYLESTONE ROAD CYCLE SCHEME) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Aylestone Road between its junctions with Richmond Avenue and with Duncan Road from 7.00am until 7.00pm on Sunday 24th September 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Aylestone Road between its junctions with Duncan Road and with Hall Lane from 7.00am until 7.00pm on Sunday 8th October 2023.
Diversion route: Glenhills Way, Saffron Lane, Aylestone Road. Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Lansdowne Road at its junction with Aylestone Road from 7.00am on Monday 2nd October 2023 until 7.00am on Monday 9th October 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Grace Road at its junction with Aylestone Road from 7.00am on Monday 9th October 2023 until 7.00am on Monday 16th October 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Park Hill Drive at its northern-most junction with Aylestone Road from 7.00am on Monday 9th October 2023 until 7.00am on Monday 16th October 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Hampshire Road at its junction with Aylestone Road from 7.00am on Saturday 14th October 2023 until 7.00am on Monday 16th October 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Granby Road at its junction with Aylestone Road from 7.00am on Saturday 14th October 2023 until 7.00am on Monday 23rd October 2023.
Suspend existing one-way restriction on Disraeli Street between its junctions with Canal Street and with Granby Street from 7.00am on Saturday 14th October 2023 until 7.00am on Monday 23rd October 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Banks Road at its junction with Aylestone Road from 7.00am on Monday 16th October 2023 until 7.00am on Monday 23rd October 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Park Hill Drive at its southern-most junction with Aylestone Road from 7.00am on Monday 6th November 2023 until 7.00am on Monday 13th November 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Duncan Road at its junction with Aylestone Road from 7.00am on Monday 6th November 2023 until 7.00am on Monday 13th November 2023.
The Order will come into effect on the 24th September 2023 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
This order is made to facilitate cycle lane improvement works taking place and to prevent the likeliness of danger to the public. 
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
