What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
(RICHFORD STREET) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. The Council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham hereby gives notice that in order to facilitate sewer cleaning in Richford Street; it intends to make an Order the effect of which would temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in a section of Richford Street.

2. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, stop, wait, load or proceed in Richford Street from the junction of Astrop Mews to the junction of Goldhawk Road

3. An alternative route for traffic in article 2 shall be provided for via Hammersmith Grove, Astrop Terrace and Goldhawk Road.

4. Exemptions would be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said work and for works vehicles, any vehicle being used in connection with police, fire or ambulance purposes and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

5. The Order would come into operation on the 12th October 2023 and would be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

6. Works would be expected to commence on Thursday 12th October 2023 and lasts untill the 13th October 2023. The dates specified are for guidance and informative purposes only and works may extend outside these dates.
