Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
A299 Thanet Way, St Nicholas At Wade (50MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 50MPH speed limit on part of A299 Thanet Way, St Nicholas At Wade, on or after 18th September 2023 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.
The speed restriction will be imposed between the junctions of Court Road and Potten Street Road, to the actual extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Addington Place, Ramsgate CT11 9JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Addington Place, Ramsgate, on or after 18th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Addington Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Addington Street, Ramsgate CT11 9JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Addington Street, Ramsgate, on or after 18th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 50, flat 1. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Nelson Crescent, Prospect Terrace, Liverpool Lawn, Albert Street and vice versa.
Belvedere Road, Broadstairs CT10 1LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Belvedere Road, Broadstairs, on or after 2nd October 2023 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Dundonald Road and B2052 High Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2052 High Street, A255 Queens Road, York Avenue, Belvedere Road and vice versa.
Bishops Avenue, Broadstairs CT10 3RE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bishops Avenue, Broadstairs, on or after 4th October 2023 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Kings Avenue and Queens Avenue. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kings Avenue, Knights Avenue, B2052 Stone Road and vice versa.
Foxborough Lane, Ramsgate CT12 4FB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow carriageway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foxborough Lane, Ramsgate, on or after 2nd October 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Tothill Street and Bedlam Court Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tothill Street, High Street, Church Street, Bedlam Court Lane and vice versa.
King Street, Margate CT9 1JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of King Street, Margate, on or after 19th September 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 68. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Addington Street, Union Crescent, B2055 Hawley Street and vice versa.
Lonsdale Avenue, Margate CT9 3BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lonsdale Avenue, Margate, on or after 22nd September 2023 for up to 22 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from number 10 to the junction with Northumberland Avenue. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northumberland Avenue, Rutland Avenue, Avenue Gardens and vice versa.
Mansion Street, Margate CT9 1JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow carriageway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mansion Street, Margate, on or after 21st August 2023 for up to 191 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the Northern Bell Pub. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2051 Fort Hill, Fort Road and vice versa.
Minnis Road, Birchington CT7 9SU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Minnis Road, Birchington, on or after 2nd October 2023 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 15A. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via The Parade, Sea View Avenue, Sea View Road, Grenham Road, Lyell Road and Station Approach.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Sandles Road, Station Approach, Lyell Road, Grenham Road, Sea View Road, Sea View Avenue and The Parade.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Northdown Way, Margate CT9 3QX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northdown Way, Margate, on or after 2nd October 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 12. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northdown Way, Northdown Park Road, Millmead Avenue, B2052 Millmead Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Rosemary Avenue, Broadstairs CT10 2EL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rosemary Avenue, Broadstairs, on or after 2nd October 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 48. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Salisbury Avenue, Brassey Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sowell Street, Broadstairs CT10 2BB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow road works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sowell Street, Broadstairs, on or after 19th September 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of B2053 St Peters Park Road and St Peters Road, between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2053 St Peters Park Road, Crawford Road, St Peters Road and vice versa.
Tivoli Park Avenue, Margate CT9 5TH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tivoli Park Avenue, Margate, on or after 3rd October 2023 for up to 79 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from number 16 to the junction of Mere Gate. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Tivoli Road, A254 Eaton Road, A254 Belgrave Road, A28 Marine Terrace and All Saints Avenue.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via All Saints Avenue, Hartsdown Road, B2052 Hartsdown Road and Tivoli Road.
Various Roads, Margate (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Margate, on or after 2nd October 2023 for up to 28 days or until the works have been completed.
The closures will be a rolling closure, once works are completed on one road, works will begin on the next closure.
Clarence Avenue will be closed at the junction with Northdown Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northdown Road, Gloucester Avenue, Lonsdale Avenue and vice versa.
Dalmeny Avenue will be closed at the junction with Northdown Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northdown Road, Dalmeny Avenue and vice versa.
Leicester Avenue will be closed at the junction with Northdown Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northdown Road, Gloucester Avenue, Lonsdale Avenue and vice versa.
Omer Avenue will be closed at the junction with Northdown Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northdown Road, Northumberland Avenue, Lonsdale Avenue and vice versa.
Norfolk Road will be closed at the junction with Northdown Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Harold Road and Eastern Esplanade and vice versa.
Sweyn Road will be closed at the junction with Northdown Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northdown Road, Harold Road and Eastern Esplanade and vice versa.
Clarendon Road will be closed at the junction with Northdown Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northdown Road, Wilderness Hill and vice versa.
Cornwall Gardens will be closed at the junction with Northdown Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northdown Road, Devonshire Gardens, Rutland Avenue and vice versa.
