What is happening?

(CASTLE STREET, CITY CENTRE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Castle Street which extends from Queen Street to Lower Castle Street; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, the existing one way traffic working in:-
(a) an easterly direction in Castle Street; and
(b) a northerly direction in Queen Street – so as to give effect to the alternative route as a consequence of item 1 above and to allow access and egress for works vehicles.
The Order was required because carriageway layout works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 11th September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 11th September 2023 and 15th March 2024).

(VARIOUS ROADS, CITY CENTRE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF BUS LANES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the reserved bus lanes at the Baldwin Street/High Street/Bristol Bridge junction south eastwards into Victoria Street.
The Order was required because resurfacing works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and becomes operative from 11th September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place overnight between 11th September 2023 and 29th September 2023).

(STEVENS CRESCENT, TOTTERDOWN, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Stevens Crescent from Cheapside Street to the common boundary line between No.66 and No.67 Stevens Crescent.
The Order was required because lead replacement works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 12th September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 12th September 2023 and 14th September 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Henry Street, Windsor Terrace, Stevens Crescent (part unaffected) and vice versa
(BROAD WEIR AND LOWER CASTLE STREET, CITY CENTRE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (PENN STREET, CITY CENTRE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and
2. to prohibit, temporarily, any vehicle proceeding in the road specified in column 1 of Schedule 2 to this Notice, from making a right turn into the road specified in column 2 of the said Schedule.
The Order was required because building maintenance works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and becomes operative from 10th September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 1:00am and 8.30pm on 10th September 2023).

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of St. Lucia Crescent from Windward Walk south westwards for 20 metres.
The Order was required because telecommunications ducting works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 19th September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 19th September 2023 and 21st September 2023).
