What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 42456 LIGHTWOOD LANE (RANDWICK PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 42456 Lightwood Lane, from its junction with Gloucester Road to its junction with Zion Hill, for a total distance of approximately 450 metres ("the Road").

The reason for the closure is for remedial works to the highway.

The Road is expected to be closed from 28th September 2023 to the 30th September 2023 only or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershlre.gov.uk.

The reason for the closures is for the construction of a National Highways Major Projects A417 Missing Link Scheme. The roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme commencing 21st September 2023, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. The Order may permit the closure of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 20th March 2025.

SPEED RESTRICTION

Gloucestershire County Council also intends to make an Order under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to temporarily restrict part of the A417 Missing Link Scheme roads, as described in the above Schedule, to a speed of 30mph.

The speed restriction is necessary to provide a safe environment for road workers moving heavy plant vehicles. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 45862 OLD HORSLEY ROAD (NAILSWORTH TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 45862 Old Horsley Road from its junction with "Barn Close to its junction with Fircroft for a total distance of approximately 50 metres

("the Road").

The reason for the closure is for remedial works to reconstruct a drainage ditch in the verge to prevent flooding. The Road is expected to be closed from 29th September 2023 until 3rd October 2023 only or until the works have been completed.
