Aln Crescent - Road Closure to Allow Works to Be Carried Out on or Near the Highway
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE (ALN CRESCENT) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 5th September 2023 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicles from proceeding on Aln Crescent from Kingston Park Road, southwards for 54 metres, to its junction with Aln Avenue.
2. Appropriate traffic management will be in place during the closure.
3. The Order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles engaged in the works and where possible, for police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles on emergency call.
5. The Order will come into operation on 12th September 2023 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, for 4 weeks or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
