What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Chelmer Waterside Bridge (cycle tracks), Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the cycle tracks as below in the City of Chelmsford under section S14(1) of The Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended)

Closure description - Diversion
From Wharf Road southwest for approximately 213 metres across Bailey Bridge into Baddow car park. As signed on site

Kings Head Meadow Cycle Track from Bailey Bridge southeast for approximately 56 metres. As signed on site

From Bailey Bridge northwest for approximately 77 metres towards Chelmsford Sea Cadets. As signed on site

From the south end of Bailey Bridge west along cycleway for approximately 78 metres. As signed on site

The closures are scheduled to commence on 18 September 2023 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. 

The closures are required to allow for works to be carried out on the construction of Chelmer Waterside Bridge.

The alternative routes will be signed on site.

The Order will come into effect on 18 September 2023 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. This Order may be extended by the Secretary of State if an extension is required.

(Colam Lane, Little Baddow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colam Lane, Little Baddow in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with The Ridge for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction. 
The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th October 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD037RO62507392/1/RC – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sewer frame and cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via North Hill, Holybread Lane, Colam Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 14th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Longshots Close, Broomfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Longshots Close, Broomfield in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 280m west, north/northwest then southwest of its junction with Goulton Road for a distance of approximately 25m to its end. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd October 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30033230989 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
No alternative route is available.
The Order will come into effect on 14th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Main Access Road, Broomfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Main Access Road, Broomfield in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Court Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th October 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC118BROOMFIELD4 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway reinstatement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Broomhall Road, Main Road, Court Road and vice versa (with access only into Main Access Road).
The Order will come into effect on 14th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(A127 Southend Arterial Road, Dunton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of A127 Southend Arterial Road, Dunton in the Borough of Basildon, from a point where the Off Slip Road from A127 to West Mayne Eastbound is for a distance of approximately 150m in an easterly direction. 
The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th September 2023 for 1 night (21:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (QU001J1184 – DfT Road Statistics Division). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while vehicle detection sensor replacement works are undertaken by DfT Road Statistics Division.
An alternative route is available via Southend Arterial Road Slip Road From A127 To West Mayne Eastbound, West Mayne Roundabout, Southend Arterial Road Slip Road From West Mayne To A127 Eastbound.
The Order came into effect on 31st August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Back Road, Writtle) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Back Road, Writtle in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 30m west of its junction with Daws Close for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st September 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WDSRM63SA – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole renewal and cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Back Road, Ongar Road, Victoria Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 31st August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Boreham Road, Great Leighs) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boreham Road, Great Leighs in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Leighs Road to its junction with Noakes Lane a distance of approximately 1295m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th September 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30080951091 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Boreham Road, Drakes Lane, Wheelers Hill, Leighs Road, Daisleys Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 31st August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Park Road, Pleshey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Park Road, Pleshey in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 170m west of its junction with Ford End Road for a distance of approximately 150m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th September 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30000279009 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree trimming works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Park Road, Ford End Road, Pleshey Road, Back Lane, Vicarage Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 31st August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Woodhill Road, Sandon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Woodhill Road, Sandon in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 120m west of its junction with Hall Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th September 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD037RO62490580 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap and boundary box installation works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Woodhill Road, Molrams Lane, Maldon Road, Main Road, Well Lane, The Heights and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 31st August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
