Mill Street, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Infrastructure Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) (MILL STREET [FORD], SIDMOUTH) ORDER 2023 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 25/9/23 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 20/10/23. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. Roads affected:
Mill Street [Ford], Sidmouth. The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - From Milford Road - Mill Street; via Salcombe Road & High Street (one-way).
From Mill Street - Milford Road; Riverside onto York Street, The Esplanade onto B3176 To All Saints Road onto Salcombe Road. This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable:
Repair & upgrade of the concrete ramps leading out of The Ford on both sides, installation of improved flood management infrastructure, & installation of new telemetry to support said infrastructure.
