What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE DALES DISTRICT COUNCIL

(Off-Street Parking Places)(Amendment No 6) Order 2023 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 31th August 2023 Derbyshire Dales District Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and Schedule 9 of that Act, has made an Order for the regulation of the off-street parking places provided by the Council. The title of the Order is the Derbyshire Dales District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment No 6) Order 2023 (“the Amendment No 6 Order”). The Amendment No 6 Order will amend the Off-Street Parking Places Order 2013 (“the 2013 Order”).

The effect of Amendment No 6 Order is summarised below and shall come into effect from the 9th September 2023:

The Order affects the following Pay and Display Car Parks operated by Derbyshire Dales District Council:

Artist Corner Car Park, Matlock Bath
Station Yard Car Park, Matlock Bath
Pavilion Car Park, Matlock Bath
Temple Road Car Park, Matlock Bath

The effect of the Order is summarised as follows:
1. To introduce a car park event charge of £5.00 to operate on Saturdays and Sundays during the eight weeks of the Illuminations. 

A copy of the Order may be inspected by prior appointment by telephoning 01629 761100. 

If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
