ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (DORSET ROAD. SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer cleaning works In Dorset Road, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-(a) enter or proceed in Dorset Road, between its junction with Kingston Road and its junction with Melrose Road; or (b)wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in subparagraph (a) above.
3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using one or more of the following roads:- Kingston Road, Bushey Road, Martin Way, Crown Lane, London Road and Morden Road.
6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions during any emergency; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order will come into operation on Monday 11th September 2023 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on Tuesday 12th September 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (GROVE ROAD AND TAMWORTH LANE. CR4) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate telecom duct works at the roundabout at the junction of Grove Road with Tamworth Lane, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in Grove Road and Tamworth Lane.
2. Whilst the works take place, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:-
(a) Grove Road, the lane immediately adjacent to the south-west side of the main island site at the junction of Grove Road with Tamworth Lane (and the cycle lane adjacent to it); or
(b) Tamworth Lane, the northbound offside lane, immediately adjacent to the west side of the southernmost island at the junction of Grove Road with Tamworth Lane.
NB. Vehicular traffic on the south-west side of the main island site at the junction of Grove Road and Tamworth Lane will be prohibited from proceeding other than south-westward on Grove Road or northbound on Eastfields Road.
3. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Diverted traffic should proceed using one or more of the following roads:- Eastfields Road, Lock's Lane, Holborn Way(A217), Upper Green West, Upper Green East, Commonside East, Manor Road(B272), Tamworth Lane, Rowan Road(B272), Meopham Road and Grove Road.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution o1 the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.
6. The Order will come into operation on Thursday 7th September 2023 with the works anticipated to be carried out overnight and be completed early morning on Friday 8th September 2023. However, the Order will be in force for 3 months should further works be required. Dated 29 August 2023.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (ELLERTON ROAD. SW20) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate the replacement of a telecommunications pole in Ellerton Road, SW19; they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-(a) enter or proceed in Ellerton Road, from its easternmost
extremity to the eastern kerb-line of Aimer Road; or (b)wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in subparagraph 2(a) above.
3. Ellerton Road is a cul-de-sac and a diversion route is not applicable.
4. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. Nothing in this Order will apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions during any emergency; or
(d) so as to prevent access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
7. The Order will come into force on Monday 11th September 2023, with the works anticipated to be completed the same day. However, the Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of 3 months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (BARHAM ROAD. SW20) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate new water connection works in Barham Road, SW20; they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Barham Road, between the common boundary of Nos. 21 and 25 Barham Road and the boundary of No. 25 Barham Road with the rear of the property named Oakhaven on Ellerton Road; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Drax Avenue, Aimer Road and Ellerton Road or vice-versa.
4. The restriction and suspension will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. Nothing in this Order will apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions during any emergency; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works;
7. The Order will come into operation on Monday 11th September

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1! (WEST BARNES LANE. KT3) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 7) ORDER 2023
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate railway works necessitating the access and egress of railroad vehicles, attachments, equipment, materials and the removal of scrap at the Motspur Park Level Crossing on West Barnes Lane, KT3, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. Whilst the works take place no person will:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in West Barnes Lane between a point 20 metres south-west of the Motspur Park level crossing and a point 20 metres north-east of that level crossing;
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. An alternative route for diverted vehicular traffic will be via West Barnes Lane, Claremont Avenue, Burlington Road and West Barnes Lane, or vice versa.
5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal of the Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any person carrying out the works or any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.
7. The Order will come into operation at 11pm on Saturday 9th September 2023 and remain in force until 5am on Monday 23rd October 2023. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out during the following times:-
(a) 11 pm on 9 September 2023 to 2am on 11 September 2023;
(b) 12.30am on 22 October 2023 to 5am on 23 October 2023. Dated 29 August 2023.
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON PROPOSED SINUSOIDAL HUMPS - FRAMFIELD ROAD, MITCHAM
1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, under powers conferred by section 90A-F of the Highways Act 1980 and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, intend to introduce 5 sinusoidal humps, each 3.7 metres in length, with a maximum height of 75mm high across the full width of Framfield Road, Mitcham at the locations specified in the Schedule to this notice.
2. A plan of the area showing the proposed sinusoidal humps can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey.
3. Any person desiring to comment on the proposal should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof in writing to the Environment and Regeneration Department, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ES/RH/Framfield 2023 no later than 22 September 2023.
