Hertfordshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures And Restrictions
What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STATION ROAD, ASHWELL) ORDER NO.2 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Station Road, Ashwell from its junction with Shire End Close south eastwards for a distance of approximately 73m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Station Road, Ashwell Road and Station Road.
The Order is needed because water service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN ODSEY, ROYSTON, KELSHALL, SLIP END AND SANDON) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"):-
1. that length of Therfield Road, Odsey from its junction with A505 Baldock Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via A505 (Baldock Road/Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road, A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road/Baldock Road), Baldock Road, Therfield Road, Kelshall Tops and Therfield Road or via Therfield Road, Kelshall Tops, Therfield Road, Baldock Road and A505 Baldock Road.
2. that length of Therfield Road, Royston from a point 970m south east of its junction with Baldock Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 970m.
An alternative route will be via Therfield Road, Baldock Road, Baldock Street, Melbourn Street, A10 (Priory Lane/Barkway Street/London Road/Ermine Street), Whiteley Lane, Five House Lane to Whiteley Lane, Rooks Nest Lane, Hay Green, Police Row, The Causeway and Therfield Road or via Therfield Road, The Causeway, Police Row, Hay Green, Rooks Nest Lane, Five House Lane to Whiteley Lane, Whiteley Lane, A10 (Ermine Street/London Road/Market Hill/Priory Lane), Melbourn Street, Baldock Street, Baldock Road and Therfield Road.
3. that length of Briary Lane, Royston from its junction with Stakepiece Road south westwards to its junction with Royston Public Bridleway No.013, a distance of approximately 16m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. that length of Coombe Road, Kelshall from a point 148m south east of its junction with A505 Baldock Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 148m.
An alternative route will be via Coombe Road, A505 (Baldock Road/Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road, A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road/Baldock Road), Baldock Road, Therfield Road, Kelshall Tops and Therfield Road or via Therfield Road, Kelshall Tops, Therfield Road, Baldock Road, A505 Baldock Road and Coombe Road.
5. that length of Gannock Lane, Slip End from a point 90m south east of its junction with A505 Royston Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m.
An alternative route will be via Gannock Lane, A505 (Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road, A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road/Baldock Road), Baldock Road, Therfield Road, Kelshall Tops, North End, Fears Green, Gannock Road and Gannock Lane or via Gannock Lane, Gannock Road, Fears Green, North End, Kelshall Tops, Therfield Road, Baldock Road and A505 (Baldock Road/Royston Road).
6. that length of C5 (unnamed road), Slip End from its southernmost junction with A505 Royston Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via A505 (Royston Road/Baldock Road), Station Road, Ashwell Public Byway Open to All Traffic No.016, Kingsland Way and C5 (unnamed road).
7. that length of C5 (unnamed road), Sandon from its northernmost junction with A505 Royston Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via A505 (Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), B656 (Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road/Royston Road), A507 Clothall Road, C5 (unnamed road), Redhill and C95 (unnamed road) or via C5 (unnamed road), Redhill, C5 (unnamed road), A507 Clothall Road, B656 Royston Road, A507 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road), C5 (unnamed road) and Redhill.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROE GREEN, SANDON) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Roe Green, Sandon from a point 65m south east of its junction with Sandon Public Footpath No.002 north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 223m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Roe Green, Rushden Road, C10 (unnamed road), Sandon Road, Five House Lane to Whiteley Lane, Whiteley Lane, A10 (Ermine Street/Buntingford Bypass), A507 (Baldock Road/unnamed road), C5 (unnamed road/Redhill) and Roe Green.
The Order is needed because water service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN C11 (UNNAMED ROAD), NUTHAMPSTEAD AND BELL LANE, BARLEY/NUTHAMPSTEAD) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of C11 (unnamed road), Nuthampstead from its junction with Raymouts Lane north westwards, westwards and south westwards to its junction with Barkway Road, a distance of approximately 1618m.
An alternative route will be via Raymouts Lane, C11 (unnamed road) and Barkway Road.
2. that length of Bell Lane, Barley/Nuthampstead from its junction with Bogmoor Road south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Park Farm Lane, a distance of approximately 3623m.
An alternative route will be via Bogmoor Road, B1368 (Cambridge Road/High Street), Nuthampstead Road, C11 (unnamed road) and Bell Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN GRAYS CLOSE AND ELIOT ROAD, ROYSTON) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Grays Close, Royston from its junction with Eliot Road south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Eliot Road, Royston from its junction with Burns Road south eastwards, north eastwards, westwards and eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
