(Various Roads) (Tour of Britain Men's Road Race, Stage 6) (Special Event) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Clearway) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council in exercise of powers under Section 16(A-C) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, has made the above Order to facilitate the Tour of Britain Men's Road Race Stage 6.
Effect of the orders:
1. To temporarily close the following lengths of road in the County of Essex via a rolling roadblock.

2. The following orders will be temporarily amended to include the temporary No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the said lengths of road only all other restrictions and exemptions contained in the mentioned Orders and Amendments to those Orders shall remain in force.
- The Essex County Council (Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) (Consolidation) Order 2019 will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the said lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
- The Essex County Council (Chelmsford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) (Consolidation) Order 2019 will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the said lengths of road only all other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
- The Essex County Council (Brentwood District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) (Consolidation) Order 2019 will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the said lengths of road only all other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
- The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) (Consolidation) Order 2019 will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the said lengths of road only all other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
- The Essex County Council (Rochford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) (Consolidation) Order 2019 will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the said lengths of road only all other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
3. To temporarily close the following lengths of road in the District of Harlow, times as signed on site.
Road Description
Abercrombie Way Between Third Avenue and Pyenest Road Three Horseshoes Road From Third Avenue to Woodbine Close Harberts Road From Third Avenue to Northbrooks.
The closures and clearways are scheduled to commence on 08 September 2023 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, these closures and clearways are required to facilitate the Men's Tour of Britain road race, stage 6.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 08 September 2023 and may continue in force for one day.
(Footpath 59, Roydon) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To temporarily close to all pedestrians under section S14(1) of The Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended) Footpath 59, Roydon, in the District of Epping Forest, from the county boundary, east across the bridge to its junction with Footpath 63, approximately 50 metres. The closure is scheduled to commence on 01 September 2023 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required to allow for works to be carried out on Feildes Weir, on behalf of Environment Agency.
The alternative route will be via Footpath 63 and Cycleway into Hertfordshire and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 01 September 2023 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. This Order may be extended by the Secretary of State if an extension is required.
(Forest Road, Loughton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Forest Road, Loughton in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 145m southeast of its junction with Smarts Lane for a distance of approximately 25m in a southeasterly direction and then from its junction with Clifton Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a southeasterly direction.
2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures only.
"The Essex County Council (Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The closures are scheduled to commence on 25th September 2023 for 1 day (to be done in phases), or where stated on a valid permit (MU11300312138-00000002 & MU11300312142-00000002 - Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while manhole cover replacement works are undertaken by Thames Water.
An alternative route is available via High Road, Church Hill, Goldings Hill, Clays Lane, Wake Arms Roundabout, Epping New Road, Robin Hood Roundabout and vice versa (with access only into Forest Road, Earls Path).
The Order will come into effect on 7th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hatfield Heath Road, Sheering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hatfield Heath Road, Sheering in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 150m southeast of its junction with Sheering Lower Road for a distance of approximately 250m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th September 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30009009639 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree trimming works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Hallingbury Road, Sawbridgeworth Road, Gaston Hill, Lower Road, Stortford Road and vice versa (with access only into Station Road, Hatfield Heath Road, Sawbridgeworth Road).
The Order will come into effect on 7th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Lechmere Avenue, Chigwell) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (Directional Southbound Lane) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lechmere Avenue, Chigwell in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 135m southeast of its junction with Broadhurst Gardens for a distance of approximately 155m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th September 2023 for 30 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU093LPR-ESSE-NL026 - Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water mains works are undertaken by Thames Water.
An alternative route is available via Broadhurst Gardens, Fontayne Avenue, Lechmere Avenue (access only into Lechmere Avenue). The Order will come into effect on 7th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Tendring Road, Harlow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tendring Road, Harlow in the District of Harlow, from its junction with Abercrombie Way to its junction with Partridge Road a distance of approximately 495m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th September 2023 for 3 nights (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2345621 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Partridge Road, Southern Way, Southern Place, Abercrombie Way and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 7th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Epping Road, Epping Upland) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Epping Road, Epping Upland in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Green Close for a distance of approximately 80m in a northwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th September 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001257435 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Epping Road, Upland Road, High Road, London Road, Hastingwood Roundabout, A414 Between Southern Town Boundary and Harlow Mill Roundabout, Southern Way, Southern Place, Water Lane, Epping Road Roundabout and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 24th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Manor Road, High Beach & Avey Lane, Waltham Abbey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Manor Road, High Beach in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Avey Lane for a distance of approximately 15m in a northeasterly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Avey Lane, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 190m northwest of its junction with Mott Street for a distance of approximately 25m in a northwesterly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 12th September 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU093MCWESSENL013184TM & MU093MCW-ESSE-NL-013184 - Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains works are undertaken by Thames Water.
An alternative route is available via Avey Lane, Pynest Green Lane, Wellington Hill, Manor Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 24th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Shaftesbury, Loughton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Shaftesbury, Loughton in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Earls Path for a distance of approximately 25m in a northeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU093MCW-ESSE-NL-017342 - Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains valve repair works are undertaken by Thames Water.

(Sheering Lower Road, Sheering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sheering Lower Road, Sheering (One-Way Road) in the District of Epping Forest, from its most southerly junction with Hatfield Heath Road for a distance of approximately 65m in a southwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th September 2023 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410206149RC - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while frame and cover replacement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Sheering Lower Road, Hatfield Heath Road and vice versa.

(Stewards Green Road, Epping) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stewards Green Road, Epping in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Coopersale Street for a distance of approximately 400m in a southwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th September 2023 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH10003782 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while structure repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Stewards Green Road, Bower Hill, Station Road, High Street, Palmers Hill, Lindsey Street, Stonards Hill, Theydon Grove, Coopersale Street, Houblons Hill and vice versa.
