ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1) (Waterloo Road And Galloway Lane, Pudsey, Leeds)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Parking Restriction for safe working area works) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: NO person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Waterloo Road and Galloway Lane, Pudsey, Leeds in the Pudsey Ward between its junctions with Alder Drive and St James Crescent. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 11th September 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Black Hill Road, Arthington, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Installation of additional drainage and reprofile/resurface carriageway.) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: NO person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Black Hill Road, Arthington, Leeds in the Adel & Wharfedale Ward between its junctions with Arthington Lane and Arthington Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Arthington Lane, Arthington, Arthington Lane. Poole in Wharfdale, Pool Bank New Road, Leeds Road, Kings Road, Arthington Road, and vice-versa. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 4th September 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Leeds Road, Collingham, Leeds) (Temporary Speed Limit Reduction) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Speed Reduction Of 50MPH to 30MPH) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: NO person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Leeds Road, Leeds in the Harewood ward at the junction of Milbeck Green to 330 metres West of Milbeck Green in both directions at a speed exceeding 30MpH. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 4th September 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. Leeds (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Phased resurfacing of City Square), Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that:
Schedule 1
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along the roads detailed below during the phased closures: -
1. Wellington Street East of Northern Street to the junction of Aire Street in an Easterly & Westerly Direction.
2. King Street North of Wellington Street to the junction of Infirmary Street in a Northernly & Southernly Direction.
3. Thirsk Row North of Aire Street to the junction of Wellington Street in a Northernly & Southernly Direction.
4. Whitehall Quay South of Aire Street to the junction of Black Swan Walk in a Northernly & Southernly Direction.
5. Quebec Street East of King Street to the junction of Toronto Street in an Easterly & Westerly Direction.
6. Park Place West of King Street to the junction of Central Street in an Easterly & Westerly Direction.
7. Park Row South of Russell Street to the junction of Wellington Street in a Northernly & Southernly Direction.
8. Aire Street South of Wellington Street to the junction of Princess Square in a Northernly & Southernly Direction.
9. Aire Street East of Thirsk Row to the junction of Princess Square in an Easterly & Westerly Direction.
10. Bishopgate Street South of Wellington Street to the junction of Neville Street in a Northernly & Southernly Direction.
11. Infirmary Street East of King Street to the junction of Park Row in an Easterly & Westerly Direction.
12. Wine Street North of Infirmary Street for the whole Street in a Northernly & Southernly Direction. Schedule 2
Emergency vehicles and essential access to the Queens Hotel are exempt to the prohibition of traffic when under the direction of a Traffic Management Marshall for the purpose of accessing the Queens Hotel on Wellington Street in an Eastbound direction via Aire Street.

Residential access to premises off York Place/Back York Place/Britannia Street/Park Place/ Whitehall Quay is exempt to the prohibition of traffic when under the direction of a Traffic Management Marshall. Schedule 4

It will be necessary to temporarily suspend the bus gates on The Headrow between Park Square East and Park Row.

The works will consist of a series of overnight road closures to allow for sections of carriageway around City Square to be surfaced in phases. Diversion routes for all vehicles will be signed during each phase of the night time works. All routes will be available between the hours of 05:30 and 20:00 hrs. The Order shall commence on Tuesday 5th September 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier.
