What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH ABBOTS LANGLEY 40

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Abbots Langley 40, heading south from north end of the field to junction with Gypsy Lane, for an approximate distance of 250m.

Alternative Route: via route along nothern and estern field boundary.

The purpose of the Order is to enable ecological enhancement works to take place.

The section of Footpath Abbots Langley 40 will be closed on or after 11 September 2023 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS FOOTPATHS IN ABBOTS LANGLEY) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath ("the Footpaths"):-

1. the footpath fronting Nos.29-32 Oak Green, Abbots Langley from its junction with Oak Green north eastwards for a distance of approximately 39m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north and east sides of Oak Green, the footway situated on the south side of Wadham Road, the footway situated on the west side of Queens Drive, the footway situated on the north side of Keble Terrace and the footpath situated on the west side of No.8 Keble Terrace.

2. the footpath situated on the west side of No.8 Keble Terrace, Abbots Langley from its junction with Keble Terrace north westwards for a distance of approximately 14m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Keble Terrace, the footway situated on the west side of Queens Drive, the footway situated on the south side of Wadham Road, the footway situated on the east and north sides of Oak Green and the footpath fronting Nos.29-32 Oak Green.

3. the footpath fronting Nos.69-73 Furtherfield, Abbots Langley from its junction with Keble Terrace south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Oak Green, a distance of approximately 52m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Keble Terrace, the footway situated on the west side of Queens Drive, the footway situated on the south side of Wadham Road and the footway situated on the east and north sides of Oak Green.

4. the footpath situated to the rear of Nos.14-17 Oak Green Way, Abbots Langley from its junction with Oak Green south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west, south and east sides of Oak Green, the footpath fronting Nos.50-51 Oak Green, the footpath situated on the south side of No.51 Oak Green and the footpath situated on the south side of No.17 Oak Green Way.

5. the footpath fronting Nos.1-11 Oak Green Way, Abbots Langley from its westernmost junction with Oak Green north eastwards for a distance of approximately 52m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east, south and west sides of Oak Green.

6. the footpath fronting Nos.18-23 Oak Green Way, Abbots Langley from a point in line with the western boundary of No.6 Oak Green Way south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

An alternative route will be via the footpath fronting Nos.1-11 Oak Green Way, the footpath fronting Nos.50-51 Oak Green and the footpath situated on the south side of No.51 Oak Green.

7. the footpath fronting Nos.13-17 Oak Green Way, Abbots Langley from a point in line with the western boundary of No.9 Oak Green Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 26m.

An alternative route will be via the footpath fronting Nos.1-11 Oak Green Way, the footpath fronting Nos.50-51 Oak Green and the footpath situated on the south side of No.51 Oak Green.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 September 2023 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BUCKS HILL,

SARRATT/THE COMMON, CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bucks Hill, Sarratt/The Common, Chipperfield from its junction with Sarratt Public Bridleway No.057 north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Chipperfield Public Footpath No.001, a distance of approximately 734m ("the length of Roads").

An alternative route will be via Bucks Hill, Toms Hill, Chandlers Lane, Redhall Lane, Sarratt Road, Dimmocks Lane, The Green, Poles Hill, Dunny Lane, The Street, The Common and Bucks Hill.

The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BERRY LANE, CHORLEYWOOD)

ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Berry Lane, Chorleywood from a point 327m south west of its junction with Common Gate Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Berry Lane, Common Gate Road, Chorleywood Bottom, Quickley Lane, Rendlesham Way, Stag Lane and Berry Lane. The Order is needed because gas service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KENFORD CLOSE, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kenford Close, Watford from its junction with Horseshoe Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 17m ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN

LANGLEY ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Langley Road, Watford from its junction with A412 St Albans Road north westwards and south westwards to its junction with A411 Hempstead Road, a distance of approximately 1291m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road and A411 Hempstead Road or via A411 (Hempstead Road/Hyde Road/The Avenue) and A412 St Albans Road. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN MAPLE CROSS, CARPENDERS PARK, LANGLEYBURY AND WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of A412 Denham Way, Maple Cross from its junction with the A412 Uxbridge Road roundabout south westwards and south eastwards to its easternmost junction with Tilehouse Lane, a distance of approximately 2646m.

An alternative route will be via A412 (Denham Way/Uxbridge Road), A404 (Riverside Drive/ Church Street/London Road/Rickmansworth Road/Pinner Road/Pinner Green/Uxbridge Road/St Thomas Drive/George V Avenue), A4090 (Station Road/Imperial Drive/Rayners Lane/Alexandra Avenue), A312 (Petts Hill/Mandeville Road/Church Road), A40 (Western Avenue/Oxford Road) and A412 (Denham Avenue/North Orbital Road/Denham Way).

2. that length of A4008 Oxhey Lane, Carpenders Park from its junction with Highfield south eastwards for a distance of approximately 1016m.

An alternative route will be via A4008 (Oxhey Lane/Pinner Road), A411 (Chalk Hill/London Road/High Street/Sparrows Herne/High Road), A409 (Common Road/Brookshill), A410 Uxbridge Road and A4008 Oxhey Lane

or via A4008 Oxhey Lane, A410 Uxbridge Road, A409 (Brookshill/Common Road), A411 (High Road/Sparrows Herne/High Street/London Road/Chalk Hill) and A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road/Oxhey Lane).

3. that length of Langleybury Lane, Langleybury from its junction with A41 Watford Road south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Old House Lane, a distance of approximately 1254m.

An alternative route will be via A41 Watford Road, A411 Hempstead Road, Grove Mill Lane and Langleybury Lane.

4. that length of Orphanage Road, Watford from its junction with the Radlett Road roundabout north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 319m. An alternative route will be via Radlett Road, Queens Road and Orphanage Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN A405 NORTH ORBITAL ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A405 North Orbital Road, Watford from its junction with A405 St Albans Road south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 780m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road, A41 North Western Avenue and A405 North Orbital Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 28 August 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

WHIPPENDELL ROAD AND HAGDEN LANE, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Whippendell Road, Watford from its easternmost junction with King Georges Avenue south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with A4178 Cassio Road, a distance of approximately 1237m.

An alternative route will be via Whippendell Road, Ascot Road, A412 (Rickmansworth Road/St Albans Road), the A411 Hempstead Road/A411 Beechen Grove roundabout, A412 (St Albans Road/Rickmansworth Road) and A4178 (Cassio Road/Merton Road/ Wiggenhall Road/Farraline Road/Fearnley Street/The Hornets/Merton Road/Cassio Road) or via A4178 Cassio Road, A412 Rickmansworth Road, Ascot Road and Whippendell Road.

2. that length of Hagden Lane, Watford from its junction with Princes Avenue south westwards to its junction with Whippendell Road, a distance of approximately 72m.

An alternative route will be via Hagden Lane, A412 (Rickmansworth Road/St Albans Road), the A411 Hempstead Road/A411 Beechen Grove roundabout, A412 (St Albans Road/ Rickmansworth Road), A4178 (Cassio Road/Merton Road/Wiggenhall Road/ Farraline Road/ Fearnley Street/The Hornets/Merton Road/Cassio Road) and Whippendell Lane or via Whippendell Lane, A4178 Cassio Road, A412 Rickmansworth Road and Hagden Lane.

3. that length of Hagden Lane, Watford from its junction with Sydney Avenue north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Whippendell Road, a distance of approximately 89m.

An alternative route will be via Hagden Lane, A4145 (Hagden Lane/Vicarage Road), A4178 (Fearnley Street/The Hornets/Merton Road/Cassio Road) and Whippendell Road or via A4178 (Cassio Road/Merton Road/Wiggenhall Road/Farraline Road), A4145 (Vicarage Road/Hagden Lane) and Hagden Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 28 August 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

ORDER NO.3 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Rickmansworth from its junction with Church Street north westwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 195m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Church Street, A404 Riverside Drive, Wensum Way and High Street.

The Order is needed because gas service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 August 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS FOOTPATHS IN BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath ("the Footpaths"):-

1. the footpath fronting Nos1-11 Fenwick Path, Borehamwood from its junction with Morpeth Avenue north westwards to its junction with Berwick Road, a distance of approximately 64m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north west side of Morpeth Avenue, the footway situated on the north east side of Stretton Way and the footway situated on the south east side of Berwick Road.

2. the footpath fronting Nos.2-12 Fenwick Path, Borehamwood from its junction with Morpeth Avenue north westwards to its junction with Berwick Road, a distance of approximately 64m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north west side of Morpeth Avenue, the footway situated on the north east side of Stretton Way and the footway situated on the south east side of Berwick Road.

3. the footpath situated between No.8 Hancock Court and No.14 Coopers Crescent, Borehamwood from its junction with Studio Way north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 304m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Studio Way, the footway situated on the north and south sides of Banks Road, the footway situated on the east side of Studio Way, the footpath situated on the north side of No.5 Rutherford Close, the footway situated on the west side of Mason Close, the footway situated on the south and north sides of Banks Road and the footpath situated on the west side of No.23 and No.25 Banks Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 28 August 2023 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths.
