A6, Matlock Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A6, MATLOCK ROAD, AMBERGATE
WHEN: 3rd September 2023 to 9th September 2023 (22:00 to 06:00)
WHERE: Matlock Road, Ambergate from a point 475 metres west of the junction with the A610 for 635 metres in a westerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate tree removal - Ash die back.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A6 Matlock Road, A610, A38 NE Hammersmith, A61 North at Watchhorn Roundabout, A61 to Chesterfield, Hornsbridge Island, A617 to Markham Roundabout, A619 Markham Road, West Bars Roundabout, A619 Wheatbridge Road/ Chatsworth Road, A632 Walton Road/ Matlock Road/ Amber Lane/ Chesterfield Road/, Lime Tree Road, A615 Matlock Green/ Causeway Lane, Bakewell Road, A6 Derwent Way/ Dale Road/ North Parade/ South Parade/ Derby Road to point of closure and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
