Public Notices for Traffic Regulation Orders
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the below traffic regulation orders under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Traffic Regulation Order 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NEWPORT ROAD (PART), MOULSOE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1847)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to allow construction of a new road crossing:.
Newport Road, Moulsoe – From its junction with A509 to its junction with Number 82 Newport Road Moulsoe.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Newport Road, Moulsoe Road, University Way, College Road, Crawley Road, Brook End, North Crawley Road, London Road (and vice versa).
The proposed Order will come into operation from 10:00pm 9th September 2023 – 7:30am 10th September 2023.
Traffic Regulation Order 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SOUTH TERRACE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1843)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close the following length of road to enable Openreach to replace a telecoms pole safely:
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along South Terrace, Bletchley from its unction with Albert Street to its junction with Saxon Street. The closure is necessary to enable Winvic to carryout development works and for the safe loading and unloading of materials.
Whilst that part of the road is closed the alternative route will be via Albert Street, Princes Way, Saxon Street (Vice Versa).
The closure will be in place between 9th September 2023 – 9th February 2024 (24 Hours) or when the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Traffic Regulation Order 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS SHERINGTON, WOBURN SANDS, BLETCHLEY, ASTWOOD AND CASTLETHORPE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1818)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of roads to enable Anglian Water to carryout maintenance and resurfacing works.
South Street, Castlethorpe – Outside 1 – 5 South Street Castlethorpe. 19th September 2023 – 21st September 2023 (24 Hours).Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via South Street and North Street (and vice versa)
Main Road, Astwood – From its junction with A422 to its junction with Cranfield Road. 25thSeptember 2023 – 28th September 2023 (24 Hours). Whilst the above length of access will be maintained.
Cranfield Road, Woburn Sands – From its junction Deethe Close to its junction with Newport Road. 11th September 2023 – 29th September 2023 (24 Hours).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Cranfield Road, Lower End Road, Newport Road (and vice versa).
Bedford Road, Sherington – Outside Park Cottage, Sherington. 11th September 2023 – 22nd September 2023 (24 Hours).Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Bedford Road,
Chicheley Hill and Sherington Road (and vice versa).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 29 August 2023 made the following Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2) to (3), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1) and (3), and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (TAUNTON DEANE, EMERSON VALLEY) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2023 (Reference TRO-355)
The general effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) along the following lengths of Taunton Deane in Emerson Valley:
1) Taunton Deane, west side - from a point opposite the southern kerbline of Quantock Crescent, for a
distance of 48 metres in a southerly direction
2) Taunton Deane, east side - from its junction with the southern kerbline of Quantock Crescent, for a
distance of 32.5 metres in a southerly direction
The made Order will take effect on 01 September 2023.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 29 August 2023 made the following Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES) (A509 (PART), EMBERTON) (40 MPH AND 50 MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2006) VARIATION ORDER 2023 (No.2) (Reference TRO-359)
The effect of the above proposed Order will be to extend the existing 50mph speed limit restriction along A509 to include the following parts of High Street and Gun Lane in Sherington:
. High Street, Sherington (both sides) From its junction with A509 for a distance of 1,030 metres in a
southerly direction.
. Gun Lane, Sherington (both sides) From its junction with High Street for a distance of 460 metres in a
south-easterly direction.
The made Order will take effect on 01 September 2023.
