(Various Roads, Earlston) Temporary No Waiting) Order 2023
The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads, Earlston) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 7 September 2023 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:30 and 18:00. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on the following roads in Earlston:
(i) High Street from Number 1 The Terrace to Kilnknowe House – both sides of the road;
(ii) Horsemarket from High Street to Georgefield Road – south side of the road; and
(iii) Georgefield Road from Horsemarket southwards for 20 metres – south side of the road.

(Borderfest Music Festival – Galashiels) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2023
The Scottish Borders Council (Borderfest Music Festival – Galashiels) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 18:00 on 8 September 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 21:00 on 10 September 2023 – 24 hour restriction. The Order is required in the interests of public safety due to increased traffic attending the Borderfest Music Festival taking place in Galashiels.
When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of public safety, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on both sides of the following roads in Galashiels:
(i) Croft Street – from Douglas Place to the Public Park,
(ii) Abbotsford Road – from Douglas Place to Number 31 Abbotsford Road,
(iii) Tweed Road – from Abbotsford Road to Eastlands Road,
(iv) Eastlands Road – from Tweed Road to its termination, and
(v) Tweed Crescent – from Tweed Road southwards for 20 metres.
