What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Bridleway 52, (Mount Road) South Benfleet (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Bridleway 52, Benfleet in the District of Castle Point, from a point opposite No 41 Mount Road for approximately 300 metres North to opposite No 103 Mount Road.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 04 September 2023 to 29 September 2023 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas replacement works are undertaken.

Alternative route available via: Southhill Road, Kiln Road, Thundersley Park Road, London Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 04 September 2023 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Footpath 26 & 28 Footpath, Great Wakering) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpaths 26 & 28 in the District of Rochford.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 04 September 2023 to 04 March 2024 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction of sea wall access tracks and repairs to sea wall are undertaken. Footpath 28 Great Wakering will be unaffected from Wakering Stairs to Havengore Bridge and will remain open. Byway 30 (The Broomway) will be unaffected. Access will need to be either from the north along Footpath 28 from Havengore Bridge or via public access road from Landwick Gates.

No suitable alternative route available.

The Order will come into effect on 04 September 2023 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. This Order may be extended by the Secretary of State if an extension is required.

(Manor Road, Thundersley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Manor Road, Thundersley in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th September 2023 for 1 night (19:00 - 23:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD037RO62410732/RC - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while manhole cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Church Road, Rushbottom Lane, Arundel Road, Seamore Avenue, Eversley Road, Manor Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 31st August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Basildon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (Temporary Introduction of One Way) & (Temporary Introduction of Banned Turns) (Streetworks No.18) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Basildon, as detailed in the Schedule 1.

2. To temporarily introduce a one way in that length of road in the Borough of Basildon, as detailed in the Schedule 2.

3. To temporarily introduce banned Right-hand and Left-hand turns from London Road, Billericay into Tye Common Road, Billericay.

The works are scheduled to commence after 31st August 2023, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/ leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent Gas. The Order will come into effect on 31st August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Borough of Castle Point) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) (No.1) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Castle Point as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary "No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

3. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in the various lengths of road as specified in the schedule.

"The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 31st August 2023, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. (Western Road, Billericay Northbound Only) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Temporary Introduction of One Way) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Western Road, Billericay (Northbound Only) in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Rosslyn Road for a distance of approximately 680m in a northeasterly direction.

2. To temporarily introduce a one-way restriction (traffic to travel southwesterly only) that length of Western Road, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 160m southwest of High Street to its junction with Rosslyn Road a distance of approximately 680m.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 18th September 2023 for 47 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001257935 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Western Road, London Road, High Street, Western Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 31st August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Church Hill, Laindon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Hill, Laindon in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with St Nicholas Lane to its junction with Church Road a distance of approximately 550m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th September 2023 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30027893182 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement and overhead cabling works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via St Nicholas Lane, Upper Mayne Roundabout, Upper Mayne, Burches Roundabout (with access only into Basildon Road) and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 17th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Crest Avenue, Pitsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Crest Avenue, Pitsea in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Crest Avenue Service Road for a distance of approximately 305m in an easterly then southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th September 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2342684 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Crest Avenue, Rectory Road, Halstow Way and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 17th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Daws Heath Road, Rayleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Daws Heath Road, Rayleigh in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Castle Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th September 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7031001254890 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while lay new service works are undertaken by Cadent.

Alternative routes are available via:

1. Daws Heath Road, Arterial Road, Progress Road, Rayleigh Road, Eastwood Road and vice versa.

2. Daws Heath Road, Eastwood Road, High Street, High Road, Rayleigh Weir Slip Road from A129 to A127 Eastbound, Arterial Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 17th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Pitsea Hall Lane, Pitsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pitsea Hall Lane, Pitsea in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 50m south of its junction with Station Approach for a distance of approximately 60m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd September 2023 for 1 night (00:30-08:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL733TLL-32-23-030923 - Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while level crossing maintenance works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd. No alternative route is available.

The Order came into effect on 17th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rectory Road, Hadleigh (Northbound Directional Lane Only) & (Church Road, Hadleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, Hadleigh (northbound lane only) in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 50m.

2. To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Hadleigh in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Rectory Road to its junction with The Avenue a distance of approximately 90m.

3. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction in the above lengths of road for the duration of the above closures only.

"The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time" restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 4th September 2023 for 13 nights (19:00 - 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2350898/A - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction of 3 dropped crossing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via:

1. Rectory Road, Daws Heath Road, Western Road, Rayleigh Road and London Road, OR London Road, High Street, London Road, Rayleigh Road, Daws Heath Road, Western Road, Daws Heath Road and Rectory Road.

2. Church Road, Meadow Road, Bilton Road, Scrub Lane, Rectory Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 17th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(St Michaels Road, Hadleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of St Michaels Road, Hadleigh in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Arterial Road to both of its junction with Bramble Road a distance of approximately 725m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th September 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231009023 - Triplex Industrial Contractors). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while vegetation clearance works are undertaken by Triplex Industrial Contractors.An alternative route is available via: Arterial Road, Rayleigh Weir Slip Road from A127 to A129 Westbound, Rayleigh Road, Daws Heath Road and Bramble Road, OR Bramble Road, Daws Heath Road, Rayleigh Road, Rayleigh Weir Roundabout, Rayleigh Weir Slip Road from A129 to A127 Eastbound, Arterial Road, Prince Avenue, Prince Avenue and Nestuda Way Roundabout, Prince Avenue North, Prince Avenue and Arterial Road.

The Order came into effect on 17th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
