CITY OF WESTMINSTER
AMENDMENTS TO ELECTRIC VEHICLE RECHARGING POINT AND CAR CLUB
PARKING PROVISIONS IN “B” ZONE (VARIOUS LOCATIONS)
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended:
• The City of Westminster (Car Club Parking Places) (No.*) Order 202*;
• The City of Westminster (Electric Vehicle Recharging Points) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*;
• The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (B Zone) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*; and
• The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
(a) introduce electric vehicle fast recharging bays (maximum stay of 4 hours between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., no return on the same day) at the following locations:
(i) outside Cornwall House, No. 7 Allsop Place, replacing two car club parking bays (10.5 metres) - the two car club parking bays would be relocated to the north-east side of Allsop Place, at the rear of Nos. 31-34 Cornwall Terrace Mews, replacing 10 metres of single yellow line waiting restrictions;
(ii) outside Artesian House, Artesian Road, replacing one pay-by-phone parking bay (5 metres);
(iii) on the south-east side of Frampton Street, adjacent to Gateway Academy, No. 4 Capland Street, replacing two car club parking bays (10.2 metres);
(iv) on the north-east side of Gloucester Place, outside Radley House, replacing two car club parking bays (10.5 metres) - the two car club parking bays would be relocated to outside Nos. 199 and 201, replacing two pay-by-phone parking bays (10.8 metres);
(v) outside No. 199 Gloucester Terrace, replacing one car club parking bay (5.1 metres) and one pay-by phoneparking bay (5.5 metres) - the car club parking bay would be relocated to outside No. 203, replacing 5 metres of residents’ parking;
(vi) outside St. Edward’s Convent, No. 11 Harewood Avenue, replacing 11 metres of residents’ parking;
(vii) on the west side of Lancaster Gate (the easternmost north to south arm), opposite the Corus Hotel, Nos. 1-7, replacing one car club parking bay (5.5 metres) and 4.5 metres of residents’ parking - the car club parking bay would be relocated to the east to west arm of Lancaster Gate, outside No. 109, replacing one pay-by-phone parking bay (5.5 metres);
(viii) outside Nos. 1 to 5 Northwick Terrace, replacing two car club parking bays (9.7 metres);
(ix) outside No. 26 Porchester Terrace, replacing 10 metres of residents’ parking;
(x) on the west side of Queensborough Terrace, adjacent to Nos. 3-8 Porchester Gate, Bayswater Road, replacing 10 metres of residents’ parking;
(xi) outside Nos. 50-84 St. John’s Wood Court, St. John’s Wood Road, replacing one pay-by-phone parking bay (5 metres);
(xii) outside Nos. 2-42 Lord’s View, St. John’s Wood Road, replacing two pay-by-phone parking bays (12.5 metres); and
(xiii) on the north side of Talbot Road, opposite No. 17, replacing two car club parking bays (10 metres) - the pay-by-phone parking bay at this location would be extended westward by 3 metres; and
(b) introduce car club parking bays at the following locations:
(i) on the north-east side of Cunningham Place, adjacent to Rothley Court, No. 22 St. John’s Wood Road, replacing 10.5 metres of residents’ parking;
(ii) outside the Church of Our Lady, Lodge Road, replacing 10.6 metres of shared-use parking; and
(iii) outside Polperro House, Westbourne Park Road, replacing two pay-byphone parking bays (10 metres).
3. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). 5. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
