The Isle of Wight Council's Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -
The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Cowes, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 4 2023
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 4 September 2023 until 1700 hours on Wednesday 6 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along High Street, between its junctions with Terminus Road and Carvel Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Quarry Lane, Calbourne, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2023
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Thursday 7 September 2023 until 1800 hours on Wednesday 13 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Quarry Lane, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Queens Road, Freshwater, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Revocation of the One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2023
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 4 September 2023 until 1800 hours on Wednesday 6 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Queens Road, between its junctions with Tennyson Road and Clayton Road, during this time the one-way restriction will be revoked along Queens Road, between its junctions with Clayton Road and Brookslde Road, to allow access to premises during the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2023
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 4 September 2023 until 1700 hours on Monday 11 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Orchardleigh Road, between its junctions with High Street and house No. 11, during this time the one-way restriction will be revoked along Orchardleigh Road, between its junctions house No.11 and St Johns Road, to allow access to premises during the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during kerblng works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Cycle Track from Newport to Cowes, Newport, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians and Cyclists) Order No 1 2023
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 4 September 2023 until 1700 hours on Sunday 24 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian or cyclist to proceed along Cycle Track Newport to Cowes, between its junctions with Arctic Road and Stag Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during tree maintenance works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Shanklin, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 3 2023
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1830 hours on Monday 4 September 2023 until 0630 hours on Wednesday 6 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Prospect Road, for its entire length. The one-way restriction will be revoked along a) Prospect Road, for its entire length and b) Steephill Road, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restrictions are required for safety during utility works and to allow access to premises during these works.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Tuesday 05 September 2023 until 1600 hours on Friday 08 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Alverstone Road between its junctions with Skinners Hill and Borthwood Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 04 September 2023 until 1600 hours on Wednesday 20 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Redhill Lane between its junctions with Shanklin Road and Godshlll Footpath 39. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Shorwell, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2023
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours from Saturday 02 September 2022 until 1800 hours on Sunday 03 September 2023, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, a one-way restriction will be Introduced along
a) Corve Hill for its entire length in a south-west direction; b) Park Lane for its entire length in a south to north direction; c) Pound Lane for its entire length in a north-west direction; d) Wolverton Lane between its junctions with Doctors Lane and Pound Lane in a south-west direction. The restriction is required for safety during Wolverton Garden Fair. The restriction will be signposted locally.
The Isle of Wight Council (Scarrots Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 2 2023
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0600 hours on Monday 04 September 2023 until 1600 hours on Friday 20 October 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Scarrots Lane, for its entire length, however on-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The one-way restriction will be revoked along Scarrots Lane, for its entire length to allow access to premises and businesses during the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during scaffolding works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Ventnor Footpath 83, Ventnor, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order No 1 2023
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 04 September 2023 until 1600 hours on Friday 22 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall proceed along Ventnor Footpath 83 for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during ground investigation works undertaken by the Environment Agency.

The Isle of Wight Council (Clarence Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2023
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0800 hours and 1600 hours, across six shifts, including, Saturday 02 September 2023, Saturday 09 September 2023, Saturday 30 September 2023, Sunday 01 October 2023, Saturday 14 October 2023 and Saturday 04 November 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Clarence Road between its junctions with Osborne Road and Falcon Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally during each shift. The closures are required for safety during crane lifting works for GKN.

The Isle of Wight Council (Niton Road, Rookley, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 4 2023
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Wednesday 06 September 2023 and Friday 08 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall proceed along Niton Road between its junctions with Dolcroft Road and Harts Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during street furniture repair works.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 1 September 2023 and Friday 6 October 2023 the following roads will be closed for both day and night for approximately one to 15 days during this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable the next planned programme of carriageway maintenance works to be completed. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, rectification, resurfacing, drainage works, maintenance works, verge maintenance and kerbing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences:
