What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY 50MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS IN A414 NORTH ORBITAL ROAD, COLNEY HEATH) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 50mph on that length of A414 North Orbital Road, Colney Heath from a point 135m north east of its junction with Highfield Lane north eastwards to its junction with the A414 London Colney Longabout ("the Road"), a distance of approximately 1703m.
The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN RADLETT, ST ALBANS, COLNEY HEATH, HATFIELD AND HARPENDEN) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Newberries Avenue, Radlett from its junction with Shenley Hill south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Williams Way, a distance of approximately 850m.
An alternative route will be via Shenley Hill and Williams Way.
2. that length of Puddingstone Drive, St Albans from its junction with Highfield Lane south westwards, south eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 135 m.
An alternative route will be via Highfield Lane, Starlight Way and Puddingstone Drive.
3. that length of Bullens Green Lane, Colney Heath/Hatfield from its easternmost junction with Roestock Lane south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 120m.
An alternative route will be via Roestock Lane, Tollgate Road and Bullens Green Lane.
4. that length of Lime Tree Place, St Albans from its junction with Grosvenor Road north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
5. that length of St Peters Close, St Albans from its junction with St Peters Street north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
6. that length of Vaughan Road, Harpenden from its junction with High Street north eastwards to its junction with Victoria Road, a distance of approximately 124m.
An alternative route will be via High Street, B652 Station Road and Victoria Road.
7. that length of Southfield Way, St Albans from its junction with Villiers Crescent south westwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
8. that length of Churchfield, Harpenden from its junction with Piggottshill Lane north westwards and south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
9. that length of Green Lane, St Albans from its junction with Therfield Road south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 124m.
An alternative route will be via Green Lane, Batchwood Drive, A1081 London Road and Green Lane. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Station Road, Radlett from its junction with B462 Watford Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via B462 Watford Road, Park Road, A5183 Watling Street and Station Road or via Station Road, A5183 Watling Street and B462 Aldenham Road.
2. that length of B462 Watford Road/Aldenham Road, Radlett from a point 30m north west of its junction with Station Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 60m.
An alternative route will be via B462 Watford Road, Park Road, A5183 Watling Street and B462 Aldenham Road.
3. that length of Upper Station Road, Radlett from a point 30 metres south west of its junction with B462 Watford Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m. An alternative route will be via Upper Station Road, The Crosspath, Aldenham Avenue, A5183 Watling Street and B462 Aldenham Avenue.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PARK AVENUE SOUTH/PARK AVENUE NORTH, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Park Avenue South/Park Avenue North, Harpenden from its junction with Badingham Drive north westwards for a distance of approximately 34m ("the length of Roads"). An alternative route will be via Park Avenue South, Maple Road and Park Avenue North.
The Order is needed because a mobile crane is required to lift a swimming pool into an adjacent property near the length of Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ALDENHAM PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.006) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Aldenham Public Footpath No.006 from its junction with Rendlesham Avenue north westwards to its junction with Orchard Close ("the Public Footpath"), a distance of approximately 101m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Rendlesham Way, the footway situated on the south west side of Gills Hill Lane and the footway situated on the south east side of Orchard Close.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 28 August 2023 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, ST ALBANS) (20 MPH ZONE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a 20 mph speed limit zone in St Albans as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 4 September 2023.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are held on deposit and may be viewed from 24 August 2023 to 5 October 2023 during normal office hours at Main Reception, Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford or may also be viewed online from 24 August 2023 at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting St Albans and looking at Ref: SA00123.
