Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
Barnsole Road, Staple CT3 1LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic in 2 phases on part of Barnsole Road, Staple, on or after 18th September 2023 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.
Phase 1 - Barnsole Road will be closed between the junctions of Mill Lane and Lower Road, from 18th September 2023, with estimated completion by 6th October 2023. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Lane, Mill Road, Buckland Lane, School Lane, Lower Road and vice versa.
Phase 2 - Barnsole Road will be closed between the junctions of Mill Lane and Mill Road, from 8th October 2023, with estimated completion by 13th October 2023. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Lane, Mill Road and vice versa.
Buckland Terrace, Dover CT17 0SP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Buckland Terrace, Dover, on or after 18th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A256 London Road and Shooters Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Erith Street, George Street, Shooters Hill and vice versa.
Cater Road, Betteshanger (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cater Road, Betteshanger, on or after 19th September 2023 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Trees Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Cater Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, Straight Mile and vice versa.
Cop Street Road, Ash CT3 2DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cop Street Road, Ash, on or after 18th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 2 Goldstone Court Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cop Street, A257 Ash Bypass, Knell Lane, Richborough Road and vice versa.
Eythorne Road, Shepherdswell CT15 7PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow road works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Eythorne Road, Shepherdswell, on or after 18th September 2023 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Meadow View Road and Long Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coxhill, A2 Dover Road, Coldred Hill, Church Road, Coldred Road, Chapel Hill, Shooters Hill, Shepherdswell Road and vice versa.
Green Lane, Dover CT16 2HW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow railway bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Lane, Dover, on or after 24th September 2023 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Winant Way and Brookfield Avenue, between the hours of 02:00 and 02:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Roosevelt Road, Old Park Hill, Brookfield Avenue and vice versa.
High Street, Deal CT14 6BA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Deal, on or after 18th September 2023 for up to 64 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from number 52 to Stanhope Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Stanhope Road, West Street, Park Street and vice versa.
For access to King Street, the alternative route for any through traffic is via Stanhope Road, West Street, Western Road, Golf Road, Godwyn Road, The Marina, Beach Street and vice versa.
Marshborough Road, Marshborough CT13 0PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marshborough Road, Marshborough, on or after 4th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of New Street and Beacon Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Street, The Street, Guilton, Durlock Road, Lower Road, Fleming Road, Drainless Road, Beacon Lane and vice versa.
Mill Road, Wingham CT3 1NL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Road, Wingham, on or after 18th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A257 Canterbury Road and Watercress Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A257 Canterbury Road, Wingham Well Lane and vice versa.
Mill Lane, Staple CT3 1LD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Staple, on or after 10th September 2023 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Mill Road and Barnsole Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The Street, Finglesham CT14 0NE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Finglesham, on or after 4th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Broad Lane and Marley Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Broad Lane, Marley Lane and vice versa.
Thornbridge Road, Deal CT14 9ER (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Thornbridge Road, Deal, on or after 18th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 4. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Halstatt Road, Quern Road, Mill Hill and vice versa.
Vicarage Lane, Nonington CT15 4LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vicarage Lane, Nonington, on or after 4th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Pinners Lane and Easole Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pinners Lane, Beauchamps Lane, Easole Street and vice versa.
