What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT THE BRENT (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (PEDESTRIAN & CYCLE ZONE) (NO. 2, 2022) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2023 THE BRENT (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (PEDESTRIAN & CYCLE ZONE) (NO. 22, 2022) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2023

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent on 21st August 2023 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.

2. The general effect of the above Orders will be to amend the prescribed hours of school streets in Brownlow Road NW10 (zone SZ5), Goodson Road NW10 (zone SZ5) and Northcote Road NW10 (zone SZ52) from 'between 8.15 a.m. to 9.15 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive (term time only)' to 'between 8.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive (term time only)'.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 1st September 2023, of maps of the relevant areas and of the above-mentioned Orders of 2022 (and of any Orders which have amended those Orders) can be requested via email during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at trafficorders@brent.gov.uk.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to any of the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
