TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS

Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE ORDER ON NEWHAVEN ROAD, DERBY

WHEN: 25 September 2023 to 06 October 2023

WHERE: Footpath linking no 12 Newhaven Road to No 19 Sanderson Road.

REASON: Water works

TYPE OF ORDER: Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Newhaven Road – Sanderson Road and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON WOODLANDS LANE, DERBY

WHEN: 25 September 2023 to 04 October 2023 (Daily: 08:00 to 15:30 Only)

WHERE: Phase 1 (25 September 2023 to 26 September 2023 and 04 October 2023): Woodlands Lane, from its junction with Second Avenue to its junction with Weston Rise.

Phase 2 (27 September 2023 to 03 October 2023): Woodlands Lane, from its junction with Weston Rise to its junction with Ridgeway.

REASON: Carriageway resurfacing

TYPE OF ORDER: Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Phase 1: Second Avenue – Ridgeway – Woodlands Lane and the same in the opposite direction.

Phase 2: Ridgeway – Second Avenue – Woodlands Lane and the same in the opposite direction.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON GOODSMOOR ROAD, DERBY

WHEN: 24 September 2023
WHERE: Goodsmoor Road, at its junction with Stenson Road
REASON: Construction works

TYPE OF ORDER: Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Goodsmoor Road – Wordsworth Avenue – Sinfin Lane – Grampian Way – Stenson Road and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON LONDON ROAD, DERBY

WHEN: 18 September 2023 to 06 October 2023 (Daily: 09.30 to 15.30 Only)

WHERE: London Road, from its junction with Wisgreaves Road to its junction with Lincoln Avenue

REASON: Carriageway resurfacing

TYPE OF ORDER: Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: London Road – Shardlow Road – Harvey Road – Osmaston Road – Ascot Drive – London Road and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ONE WAY ORDER ON OLD HALL ROAD AND TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON THORNHILL ROAD, DERBY

WHEN: 18 September 2023 to 22 September 2023

WHERE: Old Hall Road, in a southerly direction only, between its junction with Burton Road and its junction with Church Street Thornhill Road, at its junction with Old Hall Road

REASON: Telecom works

TYPE OF ORDER: Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Burton Road – Shepherd Street – Church Street – Old Hall Road And Thornhill Road – Burton Road – Shepherd Street – Church Street – Old Hall Road And Old Hall Road – Burton Road – Thornhill Road

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON FORESTERS WAY, DERBY

WHEN: 23 September 2023 to 24 September 2023
WHERE: Foresters Way, at its junction with Osmaston Park Road
REASON: Drainage works

TYPE OF ORDER: Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Osmaston Park Road – Sinfin Lane – Foresters Way and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON OAKLANDS AVENUE, DERBY

WHEN: 11 September 2023 to 15 September 2023
WHERE: Oaklands Avenue, from its junction with Blagreaves Lane for an approximate distance of 14 metres.
REASON: Telecom works

TYPE OF ORDER: Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Oaklands Avenue – Blagreaves Avenue – Blagreaves Lane and the same in the opposite direction

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will be re-opened as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised Derby City Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place.
