What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL

(SOUTHMEAD ROAD, SOUTHMEAD, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Southmead Road from Pen Park Road to the common boundary line between No.455 and No.457 Southmead Road.
The Order was required because carriageway reinstatement works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 29th August 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 29th August 2023 and 31st August 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Pen Park Road, Greystoke Avenue, Doncaster Road, Southmead Road (part unaffected) and vice versa

(ABBEY ROAD, WESTBURY, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Abbey Road from the common boundary line between No.129 and No.131 Abbey Road to the common boundary line between No.145 and No.147 Abbey Road.
The Order was required because water service lead replacement works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 29th August 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 
However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 29th August 2023 and 31st August 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Abbey Road (part unaffected), Charlecombe Road, Stoke Lane, Falcondale Road, Abbey Road and vice versa

(ELTON ROAD, BISHOPSTON, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC AND CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Elton Road which extends from Gloucester Road to Purton Road; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, the existing one way traffic working in a southerly direction in Elton Road between Purton Road and Gloucester Road so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles.
The Order was required because electricity cable laying works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 1st September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 1st September 2023 and 29th September 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Gloucester Road, Raglan Road, Tyne Road, Claremont Road, Purton Road (and vice versa for pedal cycles)

(ROSE GREEN ROAD, EASTVILLE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Rose Green Road from Gordon Road north eastwards for 20 metres.
The Order was required because gas mains renewal works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 2nd September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 2nd September 2023 and 10th September 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Rose Green Road (part unaffected), Deep Pit Road, Fernhurst Road, Whitefield Road, Brook Road, Whitehall Road, Gordon Road and vice versa

(ST. JOHN’S LANE, BEDMINSTER, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of St. John’s Lane from Bedminster Road to Sheene Road.
The Order was required because railway bridge maintenance works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 4th September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place overnight from 10pm to 6am between 4th September 2023 and 8th September 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: north westbound – St. John’s Lane (part unaffected), Bedminster Road, Parson Street, Bedminster Road, Bedminster Down Road, West Street, Sheene Road
south eastbound – Sheene Road, West Street, Parson Street, Bedminster Road

(OAKFIELD PLACE, CLIFTON, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Oakfield Place from St. Pauls Road to the common boundary line of No. 1a and No. 1b Oakfield Place.
The Order was required because sewer connection works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 4th September 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 4th September 2023 and 15th September 2023).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Oakfield Place (part unaffected), Southleigh Road, Oakfield Road, Whiteladies Road, St. Pauls Road vice versa
