M1 J29 Interchange South Bridge - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
M1 J29 INTERCHANGE (SOUTH BRIDGE), HEATH
WHEN: 11th September 2023 to 30th September 2023 (20:00 to 06:00 each night)
WHERE: M1 J29 Interchange (South Bridge), Heath between the M1 southbound On Slip to the M1 northbound Off Slip.
REASON: To facilitate bridge joint replacement works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
Motorway Traffic - M1 to J28 and return. Non-Motorway Traffic - A617 to Pleasley, B6417, A632, B6425, A617 (Anti-Clockwise Only).
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
