Holme on Spalding Moor Public Footpath - Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians
What is happening?
Holme on Spalding Moor Public Footpath No 21
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any person to proceed whether on foot, pedal cycle
or on horseback along the entire length of Holme on
Spalding Moor Public Footpath No 21 (for a distance of
approximately 550 metres from High Street to its southern
extent, just northwest of Little End).
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
construction works to be carried out and completed
by Barratt Homes in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. There is no alternative route for
persons affected by the Order.
The Order will commence 30 August 2023 and continue
in force for a period not exceeding six months or until
the works which it is proposed to carry out have been
completed, whichever is the earlier.
If the works are not completed within six months the
Order may be extended for a longer period with the
approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
