TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH HODDESDON63

NOTICE is given that Broxbourne Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of footpath Hoddesdon 63, from Ratty’s Lane, northward towards the watercourse footbridge, for an approximate distance of 70 metres.
The alternative route for pedestrians for footpath Hoddesdon 63 is to continue southeast at the junction with Ratty’s Lane, across the footbridge and proceed northwards along Essex County Council footpath (Roydon 63) (northward). A total distance of approximately 560 metres.
The purpose of the Order is to enable repairs works to take place at Fieldes Weir, north of Ratty’s Lane.
Footpath Hoddesdon 63 will be closed on or after 25 August 2023 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place. Works are expected to take 2 months to complete.
