Fratton Way - Temporary Road Closure

Portsmouth City Council (Fratton Way) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.247) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 29th August 2023 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITON OF LOADING AND WAITING
FRATTON WAY

From its junction with Goldsmith Avenue for 70 metres north.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate telecommunications works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 29th August 2023 to 31st August 2023 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, the works will be carried out between 19:00 and 06:00 on one night with an additional night as contingency.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Goldsmith Avenue - Milton Road - Rodney Road - Fratton Way and vice versa.
Pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained around the works.
