NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
Rose and Crown Road, Swavesey (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/1003
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Rose and Crown Road, Swavesey as lies between Swayfen House and Boxworth End.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Boxworth End – Middle Watch – School Lane – Fen Drayton Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 September and 15 September 2023.
Caxton Road, Bourn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/1004
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Caxton Road, Bourn as lies between Bourn Windmill and Macshill Cottage.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Bourn Road, Caxton – Royston Road – A1198 – B1046 – Fox Road, Bourn – Gills Hill – High Street – Alms Hill and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water meter replacement works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 18 September and 20 September 2023.
Alpha Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/1008
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Alpha Road, Cambridge as lies between East Hertford Street and Carlyle Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via St Lukes Street – A1134 – A1303.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay supply and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 25 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 24 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 25 September and 29 September 2023.
Cherry Hinton Road, Teversham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/1011
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cherry Hinton Road, Teversham as lies between Capuchin Court and 600m north of Gazelle Way roundabout.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A1303 – A1134 – Cherry Hinton Road (C235) – Cherry Hinton Road – Fulbourn Road – Yarrow Road, Fulbourn and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate resurfacing. white lining and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 18 September and 22 September 2023.
Church Lane, Madingley (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/1014
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Lane, Madingley as lies between Park Farm and number 13.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Cambridge Road – A1303 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay supply and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 September and 8 September 2023.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay supply pipe and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate renew joint box in carriageway and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 September and 15 September 2023.
Thornton Road, Girton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

The alternative route for vehicles is via Thornton Road – Girton Road – Huntingdon Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate renew telegraph pole and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 28 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 27 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 28 September 2023.
School Walk, Papworth Everard (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE)

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along School Walk, Papworth Everard as lies between Church Lane and 100m north.
The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate tree removal and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 March 2024 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 18 September and 20 September 2023.

Guildhall Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Guildhall Street, Cambridge as lies between Honest Burgers and Yo Sushi.
The alternative route for vehicles is via No diversion route applicable as this is a no through road.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate mobile crane and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 September and 12 September 2023.
Haverhill Road, Stapleford (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Haverhill Road, Stapleford as lies between junctions of Magog Way and Babraham Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Bury Road – A1301 – Mill Lane, Sawston – New Road – Hillside – Babraham Road – Sawston Road, Babraham – A1307 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate duct installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 October 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 31 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1 October 2023 to 22 December 2023.
Trumpington Road (A1134), Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE)
ORDER 2023/1083
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Trumpington Road (A1134), Cambridge as lies between Bateman Street and Lensfield Road.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 94) Order 2000. The Order of 1993 shall be amended and have effect as though the following addition was made to Schedule 23 (cycle lanes) Part 2 (Mandatory with flow cycle lane): Trumpington Road – On its west side from a point 163 metres south of the centreline of The Fen Causeway for a distance of 242 metres in a southerly direction is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 7 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 6 March 2025 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Trumpington Road (A1134), Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 7 September and 13 September 2023.
Rampton Road, Cottenham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Rampton Road, Cottenham as lies between Westbourn Cottage and Oakington Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1049 – The Green, Histon – High Street – School Hill – Park Lane – New Road – New Road, Oakington, Cambridge Road – Water Lane – Station Lane – Oakington Road, Westwick – Oakington Road, Cottenham and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate installation of a new pole and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 4 September 2023.
Huntingdon Road (A1307), Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2023/1085
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Huntingdon Road (A1307), Cambridge as lies between Priory Street and Benson Street.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 Schedule 23 – Cycle Lanes Part 2 – Mandatory with flow cycle lanes: Huntingdon Road on its southwest side from a point 40 metres northwest of its junction with Buckingham Road to its junction with Halifax Road is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 4 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 March 2025 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Huntingdon Road (A1307), Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs and 05:00hrs 4 September to 8 September 2023.
High Street, Over (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Over as lies between numbers 43 and 53.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Long Furlong – Glover Street – New Road – Station Road – Church End and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new sewer connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new gas main replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 September and 28 September 2023.
Cambridge Road (B1049), Impington (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE)

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Cambridge Road (B1049), Impington as lies between Kings Hedges Road and Gilbert Road.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993 Schedule 23 Part 2 Mandatory with flow cycle lane Cambridge Road, Impington on both sides of the carriageway from its junction with Histon Road to its junction with Kings Hedges Road is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 27 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 March 2025 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Cambridge Road (B1049), Impington are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 21:00hrs and 05:00hrs 27 September 2023 to 7 March 2024.
Cambridge Road (B1049), Impington (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE)

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Cambridge Road (B1049), Impington as lies between King Hedges Road and Blackhall Road.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993 Schedule 23 Part 2 Mandatory with flow cycle lane Cambridge Road, Impington on both sides of the carriageway from its junction with Histon Road to its junction with Kings Hedges Road is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate damaged cover repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 24 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 23 March 2025 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Cambridge Road (B1049), Impington are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19:00hrs 24 September to 05:00hrs 25 September 2023.
Clayhithe Road, Horningsea (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Clayhithe Road, Horningsea as lies between Gayton House and Manor House.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Clayhithe Road – Clayhithe Road, Waterbeach – Station Road – Chapel Street – Cambridge Road (C210) – Car Dyke Road – A10 – Milton Road, Milton – Milton Road, Cambridge – A1309 – A1134 – Newmarket Road – B1047 – Horningsea Road (C210) and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 22 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 21 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 22 September 2023.
High Street, Cherry Hinton (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE)
ORDER 2023/1103
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on High Street, Cherry Hinton as lies between Mill End Road and Fulbourn Road.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area E (Consolidation) Order 1993. Schedule 23 – Cycle Lane, Part 3 – Mandatory with-flow cycle lane in which loading is permitted. High Street, Cherry Hinton – On its west side from a point 50 metres north of Cherry Hinton Road to a point 17 metres south of the centreline of Mill End Road. On its east side from a point 8 metres north of the centreline of Gladstone Way to a point 16 metres south of the centreline of Mill End Road is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 4 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 March 2025 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on High Street, Cherry Hinton are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 September and 6 September 2023.
Teversham Drift, Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE)
ORDER 2023/1106
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Teversham Drift, Cambridge as lies between Nisa Local and mini roundabout.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area E (Consolidation) Order 1993 Schedule 23 Cycle Lane Mandatory with-flow cycle lane in which loading is permitted Teversham Drift from a point 203 metres north of the centreline of Church End northwards for a distance of 125 metres and Teversham Drift from a point 192 metres north of the centreline of Fulbourn Old Drift northwards for a distance of 135 metres is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate signal upgrade and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 25 September 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 24 March 2025 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Teversham Drift, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 25 September and 13 October 2023.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 VARIOUS ROADS, SOUTH DIVISION (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/1032
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1.
The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate resurfacing and associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 4 September 2023 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 3 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1.
The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate resurfacing and associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 18 September 2023 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 17 March 2025 whichever is the earlier.
