Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
Blendon Road, Maidstone. ME14 5PZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2023
To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Blendon Road, Maidstone, on or after 11th September 2023, with estimated completion by 9th October 2023, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Alkham Road and Cowden Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Alkham Road, Hampton Road, Guston Road and vice versa.
Church Road, Chart Sutton. ME17 3RE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2023
To allow new electrical connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 11th September 2023, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Chart Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Church Road, Warmlake Road, Chart Hill Road, Chart Road and vice versa.
East Sutton Road, Maidstone. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow tree surgery works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of East Sutton Road, Maidstone, on or after 30th August 2023, for up to 1 day, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Maidstone Road, to the junction with Stickfast Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via East Sutton Road, Maidstone Road, Tattlebury Lane, Tilden Road, Stickfast Lane, East Sutton Road and vice versa.
Green Lane, Chart Sutton. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2023
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Green Lane, Chart Sutton, on or after 13th September 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Chart Hill Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is:-
Diversion Route 1:- Chart Hill Road, Forge Lane, Lucks Lane, Green Lane and vice versa.
Diversion Route 2:- Chart Hill Road, Green Lane.
Love Lane, Headcorn. TN27 9HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2023
To allow cabling and poling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Love Lane, Headcorn, on or after 11th September 2023, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Bounty House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Love Lane, Smarden Road, Love Lane and vice versa.
Marsham Street, Maidstone. ME14 1FW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Marsham Street, Maidstone, on or after 29th August 2023, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 19, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Marsham Street, Church Street, King Street, Queen Anne Road, Union Street, Wyatt Street, Marsham Street and vice versa.
The Green, Bearsted. ME14 4DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2023
To allow sewer repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Green, Bearsted, on or after 11th September 2023, for up to 10 days, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Church Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via The Green, Church Lane, The Street, The Green and vice versa.
Various Roads, East Farleigh & Maidstone. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of various roads in East Farleigh & Maidstone, on or after 28th August 2023, with an estimated completion by 6th November 2023, or until the works have been completed.

Phase 1
Farleigh Lane will be closed from 28th August 2023, with estimated completion by 3rd November 2023.
The road will be closed from the junction with Glebe Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road, A20 Broadway, A229 Fairmeadow, Bishops Way, Palace Avenue, Lower Stone Street, Upper Stone Street, Sheals Crescent, Postley Road, Old Tovil Road, Tovil Road, Tovil Hill, Farleigh Hill, Dean Street, Lower Road, Station Hill, Farleigh Bridge, Farleigh Hill and vice versa.
Phase 2
Farleigh Lane will be closed from 28th August 2023, with estimated completion by 3rd November 2023.
The road will be closed from the junction with Tonbridge Road to the junction with Gatland Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Tonbridge Road, Fant Road, Gatland Lane and vice versa.
Phase 3
Farleigh Lane will be closed from 28th August 2023, with estimated completion by 3rd November 2023.
The road will be closed from the junction with Rectory Lane to the junction with Farleigh Bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road, A20 Broadway, A229 Fairmeadow, Bishops Way, Palace Avenue, Lower Stone Street, Upper Stone Street, Sheals Crescent, Postley Road, Old Tovil Road, Tovil Road, Tovil Hill, Farleigh Hill, Dean Street, Lower Road, Station Hill, Farleigh Bridge, Farleigh Hill and vice versa.
Glebe Lane, Maidstone
Phase 1
Glebe Lane will be closed from 28th August 2023, with estimated completion by 8th September 2023.
The road will be closed from the junction with Farleigh Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Tonbridge Road, Farleigh Lane and vice versa.
Phase 2
Glebe Lane will be closed from 23rd October 2023, with estimated completion by 3rd November 2023.

Farleigh Bridge, East Farleigh
Farleigh Bridge will be closed from 18th September 2023, with estimated completion by 2nd November 2023.
The road will be closed from the junction with Station Hill to the junction with Farleigh Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road, A20 Broadway, A229 Fairmeadow, Bishops Way, Palace Avenue, Lower Stone Street, Upper Stone Street, Sheals Crescent, Postley Road, Old Tovil Road, Tovil Road, Tovil Hill, Farleigh Hill, Dean Street, Lower Road, Station Hill, Farleigh Bridge, Farleigh Hill and vice versa.
Station Hill, East Farleigh
Station Hill will be closed from 25th September 2023, with estimated completion by 30th October 2023.
The road will be closed from the junction with Farleigh Bridge to the junction with Lower Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road, A20 Broadway, A229 Fairmeadow, Bishops Way, Palace Avenue, Lower Stone Street, Upper Stone Street, Sheals Crescent, Postley Road, Old Tovil Road, Tovil Road, Tovil Hill, Farleigh Hill, Dean Street, Lower Road, Station Hill, Farleigh Bridge, Farleigh Hill and vice versa.
River Close, East Farleigh
River Close will be closed from 25th September 2023, with estimated completion by 6th November 2023.
The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of various roads in Maidstone, on or after 30th August 2023, with an estimated completion by 1st December 2023, or until the works have been completed.

Oaktree Avenue will be closed from 11th September 2023, with estimated completion by 27th October 2023.
