Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

Alkham Road, Temple Ewell (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alkham Road, Temple Ewell, on or after 11th September 2023 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Alkham Valley Road and London Road, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via London Road, A256 London Road, A256 Crabble Hill, A256 Buckland Avenue, A256 Barton Avenue, A256 Frith Road, A256 Charlton Green, A256 Maison Dieu Road, Pencester Road, Biggin Street, Priory Street, B2011 Folkestone Road, B2011 New Dover Road, B2011 Dover Hill, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway A260 Canterbury Road and Alkham Valley Road.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Alkham Valley Road, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 Hill Road Dual Carrigeway, B2011 Dover Hill, B2011 New Dover Road, B2011 Folkestone Road, A256 Priory Road, A256 High Street, A256 London Road, A256 Crabble Hill, A256 London Road and London Road.

 

Alkham Valley Road, Drellingore CT18 7EP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alkham Valley Road, Drellingore, on or after 31st August 2023 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Meggett Lane and Hogbrook Hill Lane, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via London Road, A256 London Road, A256 Crabble Hill, A256 Buckland Avenue, A256 Barton Avenue, A256 Frith Road, A256 Charlton Green, A256 Maison Dieu Road, Pencester Road, Biggin Street, Priory Street, B2011 Folkestone Road, B2011 New Dover Road, B2011 Dover Hill, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway and A260 Canterbury Road.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A260 Canterbury Road, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway, B2011 Dover Hill, B2011 New Dover Road, B2011 Folkestone Road, A256 Priory Road, A256 High Street, A256 London Road, A256 Crabble Hill, A256 London Road and London Road.

 

Bulwark Road, Deal CT14 6DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bulwark Road, Deal, on or after 12th September 2023 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 6 to number 15. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dibdin Road, Sandown Road, Hengist Road and vice versa.

 

East Street, Ash (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of East Street, Ash, on or after 15th September 2023 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Cooper Street Drove, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

 

Liverpool Road & Warwick Road, Walmer CT14 7LG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Liverpool Road & Warwick Road, Walmer, on or after 1st September 2023 for up to 57 days or until the works have been completed.

Liverpool Road will be closed, from 1st September 2023, with estimated completion by 13th October 2023. The road will be closed, between the junctions of Granville Road and Archery Square. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Granville Road, A258 Dover Road, Archery Square and vice versa.

Warwick Road will be closed, from 25th September 2023, with estimated completion by 27th October 2023. The road will be closed between the junctions of Granville Road and A258 Dover Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Liverpool Road, Granville Road, A258 Dover Road and vice versa.

 

Mill Lane, Eastry CT13 0LF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Eastry, on or after 11th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Gore Lane and High Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gore Lane, Gore Road, Woodnesborough Lane, High Street and vice versa.

 

New Street, Dover CT17 9AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Street, Dover, on or after 11th September 2023 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of A256 York Street and Cannon Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

 

Richborough Road, Richborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Richborough Road, Richborough, on or after 30th August 2023 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 23:45 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cooper Street Drove, A257 Ash Bypass, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road, New Street, Galliard Street, The Chain, High Street, Strand Street and vice versa.

 

Rowling Road, Goodnestone CT3 1PX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rowling Road, Goodnestone, on or after 11th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 8 Lower Rolling Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rowling Road, Sandwich Road and vice versa.

 

Station Road, Deal CT14 9JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Deal, on or after 29th August 2023 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Cross Road and Court Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cross Road, St Richards Road, Salisbury Road, Court Road and vice versa.

 

Woodnesborough Road, Sandwich CT13 0AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Woodnesborough Road, Sandwich, on or after 11th September 2023 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Sandwich Road and St Barts Road, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandwich Road, The Street, Fir Tree Hill, Foxborough Hill, Statenborough Lane, Sandwich Road, A256 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road, Dover Road, St Barts Road and vice versa.
