What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
A255 Hereson Road, Ramsgate CT11 7EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A255 Hereson Road, Ramsgate, on or after 12th September 2023 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 117, between the hours of 22:30 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Ramsgate Road, A255 Queens Road, A255 High Street, A255 The Broadway, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, A256 Westwood Road, A254 Margate Road, A255 Boundary Road and vice versa.
Acol Hill, Birchington (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow carriageway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Acol Hill, Birchington, on or after 18th September 2023 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Margate Hill and B2050 Manston Road, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Margate Hill, B2050 Manston Road and vice versa.
Belmont Road, Broadstairs CT10 1NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Belmont Road, Broadstairs, on or after 12th September 2023 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A255 High Street and Crofts Place. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 High Street, B2052 High Street, Prospect Place, Wardour Close, Crofts Place and vice versa.
Grotto Gardens, Margate CT9 1AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grotto Gardens, Margate, on or after 11th September 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed the entire length. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Harold Road, Margate CT9 2HQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow sewer repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Harold Road, Margate, on or after 11th September 2023 for up to 21 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with B2051 Eastern Esplanade. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via B2051 Eastern Esplanade, Godwin Road and Albion Road.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Albion Road, Sweyn Road and B2051 Eastern Esplanade.
High Street, Margate CT9 5LY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Margate, on or after 29th August 2023 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Stephens Close and Dent De Lion Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Shottendane Road, Minster Road, A28 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
For access to Birds Avenue, the alternative route for any through traffic is via Crow Hill Road, Brooke Avenue and vice versa.
Station Approach Road, Ramsgate CT11 7RF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Approach Road, Ramsgate, on or after 29th August 2023 for up to 33 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Princes Road, between the hours of 22:30 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Station Approach Road, A254 Margate Road, Shah Place, A255 Park Road and Wilfred Road.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Wilfred Road, A255 Park Road, Shah Place and Station Approach Road.
