ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDLEWAY STEVENAGE 22 & 105
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horse riders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Stevenage 22 & 105, heading west from access to Underwood Road to North Road cross over, for an approximate distance of m.
Alternative route: via Underwood Road, Granby Road and North Road.
The purpose of the Order is to enable drainage works to take place. The section of Bridleway will be closed on or after 21 August 2023 for up to 8 weeks, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CHANTRY LANE, WYMONDLEY) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chantry Lane, Wymondley from its southernmost junction with Stevenage Road north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 350m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Stevenage Road, Blakemore End Road and Stevenage Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Broadway, Letchworth Garden City from a point 258m southwest of its junction with the Station Place roundabout clockwise for a distance of approximately 582m.
An alternative route will be via Broadway, Station Place, Station Road, Norton Way South, A505 (Baldock Road/Hitchin Road) and Broadway.
2. that length of Gernon Road, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Broadway north eastwards to its junction with Eastcheap, a distance of approximately 42m.
An alternative route will be via Broadway, Station Place, Station Road, Norton Way South and Gernon Road or via Broadway, A505 (Hitchin Road/Baldock Road), Norton Way South and Gernon Road.
3. that length of Pixmore Way, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Broadway south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m.
An alternative route will be via Broadway, Station Place, Station Road, Norton Way South and Pixmore Way or via Broadway, A505 (Hitchin Road/Baldock Road), Norton Way South and Pixmore Way.
4. that length of Meadow Way, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Broadway south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m.
An alternative route will be via Broadway, Station Place, Station Road, Norton Way South and Meadow Way or via Broadway, A505 (Hitchin Road/Baldock Road), Norton Way South and Meadow Way.
5. that length of South View, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Broadway south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m.
An alternative route will be via Broadway, Souberie Avenue and South View.
6. that length of Broadway, Letchworth Garden City from a point 154 m north east of its junction with Souberie Avenue north eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m.
An alternative route will be via Broadway, A505 (Hitchin Road/Baldock Road), Norton Way South, Station Road, Station Place and Broadway.
7. that length of West View, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Broadway south westwards for a distance of approximately 20m.
An alternative route will be via Broadway, Spring Road, Broadwater Avenue and West View.
8. that length of Eastcheap, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Broadway north eastwards for a distance of approximately 47m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY the existing one way traffic system on that length of Gernon Road, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Eastcheap north eastwards to its junction with Rowland Way, a distance of approximately 271 m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

1. that length of Shillington Road, Pirton from its junction with Priors Hill westwards and north westwards to its junction with High Road, a distance of approximately 2209m.
An alternative route will be via Priors Hill, Hitchin Road, B655 (Hexton Road/Hitchin Road), Pegsdon (unnamed road), Apsley End Road, Hanscombe End Road and High Road.
AND NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council, acting as agents for and with the consent of the Central Bedfordshire Council, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following length of road and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of road whilst works are in progress:- a) that length of High Road, Shillington from its junction with Shillington Road north westwards to its junction with Hanscombe End Road, a distance of approximately 159m.
An alternative route will be via Shillington Road, Priors Hill, Hitchin Road, B655 (Hexton Road/Hitchin Road), Pegsdon (unnamed road), Apsley End Road and Hanscombe End Road.

1. the cycle track situated on the north side of No.2 Broadwater Lane, Stevenage from its junction with Broadwater Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 49m.
An alternative route will be via Broadwater Lane, the cycle track situated on the south side of Gresley Way, the cycle track situated beneath Gresley Way, the cycle track situated on the north east side of A602 Broadhall Way, the cycle track situated beneath the Shephall Way/Oaks Cross roundabout, the cycle track situated on the south west side of A602 Broadhall Way and the cycle track situated beneath A602 Broadhall Way.
2. the cycle track situated on the east side of B197 North Road, Stevenage from its junction with B197 North Road north eastwards and north westwards to its junctions with the cycle track situated on the south side of A1072 Martins Way, a distance of approximately 118m.
An alternative route will be via B197 North Road, the cycle track situated on the north side of A602 Lytton Way, Franklins Road, the cycle track situated on the south east side of the A602 Hitchin Road/A1072 Martins Way roundabout and the cycle track situated on the south side of A1072 Martins Way. 1. that length of Kings Hedges, Hitchin from its junction with Moss Way south westwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.

4. that length of Bedford Road, Hitchin from its northernmost junction with Wellingham Avenue south eastwards and south westwards to its southernmost junction with Wellingham Avenue, a distance of approximately 194m.
An alternative route will be via Wellingham Avenue.
5. that length of Tennyson Avenue, Hitchin from its junction with St Michaels Road north eastwards, north westwards, north eastwards, north westwards, south westwards and south eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
6. that length of Masefield, Hitchin from its junction with Tennyson Avenue north westwards and south westwards for its entire length.

13. that length of Park Street, Baldock from its junction with Saddlers Close south westwards to its junction with Weston Way, a distance of approximately 187m. An alternative route will be via Park Street, Mansfield Road and Weston Way.
14. that length of Burford Way, Hitchin from its junction with A600 Bedford Road south westwards to its junction with Swinburne Avenue, a distance of approximately 600m.

1. that length of Graveley Lane, Graveley from its junction with B197 Jacks Hill north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Graveley Road, a distance of approximately 1434m.
An alternative route will be via B197 Jacks Hill, A505 (Baldock Bypass/Letchworth Gate), Baldock Lane, Willian Road, Wymondley Road, Willian Road and Graveley Road.
2. that length of Burymead, Stevenage from a point 23 m east of its junction with B197 North Road south eastwards and eastwards for a distance of approximately 110m.
An alternative route will be via Burymead.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicular traffic is prohibited from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of B197 Jacks Hill, Graveley from a point 93 m south west of its junction with Letchworth Garden City Bridleway No.002 south westwards to its junction with Graveley Lane, a distance of approximately 833 m, when signs are in place.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 August 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (HIGH STREET, MARKET PLACE AND CHURCHYARD, HITCHIN) (PEDESTRIAN ZONE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a Restricted Parking Zone and a Pedestrian Zone in part of Hitchin Town Centre as specified in the Schedules to this Notice. The Orders make permanent the previous experimental restrictions introduced in February 2022 and will come into effect on Friday 18 August 2023. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained in them, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
SCHEDULE 1: Restricted Parking Zone affecting High Street, Market Place, Churchyard and Sun Street and as set out in the Order and accompanying plan -and will introduce:
• No waiting/no loading at any time throughout the zone except where signed in marked bays. Marked bays will include –
• Disabled persons parking bays effective Monday to Saturday - timings as set out within the Order.
• Goods vehicle loading bays effective Monday to Saturday - timings as set out within the Order.
• Loading bays effective Monday to Saturday - timings as set out within the Order.
• Taxi Clearway/Loading Bays - timings as set out within the Order.
• Permit Holder Parking Bays effective Monday to Saturday - timings as set out within the Order.
SCHEDULE 2: Pedestrian Zone affecting High Street, Market Place and Churchyard (in part) and as set out in the Order and accompanying plan - operating between 10:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Saturday, which will prohibit all motor vehicles entering the Pedestrian Zone during that period, except for Permit Holders, Postal deliveries, Funeral Directors vehicles for access to St Mary's Church during the course of a funeral, emergency service vehicles, and vehicles engaged in highway maintenance or for statutory highway duties. Pedal Cyclist access will be unaffected. The making of Traffic Regulation Orders is a statutory function of the County Council. Any personal data you provide in responding to these Notices will be treated as confidential but will be shared with HCC Officers; County Councillors and contracted third parties who are involved in the statutory process. We will not share identifiable data with third parties outside of the statutory process.
