THE ST ALBANS CITY AND DISTRICT COUNCIL

(CONTROL OF PARKING) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St Albans City and District Council (pursuant to arrangement made with Hertfordshire County Council) has made the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Orders will come into effect on 4th September 2023. The general effect of the Order would be to consolidate all the existing district wide made Parking Restrictions Order's in to one District wide order and provide a map-based schedule.

Schedule

The map-based schedule includes all Stopping, Waiting, and loading restrictions and the provision of parking places across the City and District of St Albans in the various roads as listed on the map schedules and Key to the maps.

The schedules include the provisions of eligible addresses which are eligible for a parking permit in the roads and zones as detailed on the map schedules to the Order.

The Traffic Regulation Orders to be revoked and consolidated into the above-named order, are listed within the Schedules to the proposed order. This includes all Parking Restriction Orders Made for the St Albans City and District area.

The Proposed Order consolidates on-street Permit costs including all other charges relating to on street parking places.

The general affect of the orders to be revoked and consolidated remain unchanged under the proposed order.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of the provision on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
