MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU wedi gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984. Mae angen y Gorchymyn er mwyn gwneud gwaith ar gefnffordd yr A4232, neu gerllaw iddi, rhwng Capel Llanilltern (Cyffordd 33 yr M4) a Chroes Cwrlwys, Caerdydd.

Effaith y Gorchymyn yw gwahardd dros dro bob cerbyd, ac eithrio’r rhai a ddefnyddir gan y gwasanaethau brys neu ar gyfer y gwaith, rhag mynd ar y darnau o gefnffordd yr A4232 a bennir yn yr Atodlen i’r Hysbysiad hwn. Disgrifir y llwybrau eraill yn yr Atodlen hefyd.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 22 Awst 2023. Disgwylir y bydd y gwaharddiad dros dro yn weithredol yn ysbeidiol dros nos (20:00 – 06:00 o’r gloch) o 22 Awst 2023 am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf.

Y darnau o gerbytffyrdd tua’r gogledd a thua’r de yr A4232 (gan gynnwys y lôn neilltuedig tua’r de wrth Gyffordd 33) sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 352 o fetrau i’r gogledd-orllewin o ganolbwynt Cyfnewidfa Croes Cwrlwys hyd at eu chyffyrdd â’r gerbytffordd gylchredol wrth Gyfnewidfa Capel Llanilltern (Cyffordd 33 yr M4).

Y llwybr arall ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio tua’r gogledd o Gyfnewidfa Croes Cwrlwys yw mynd ar yr A48 tua’r dwyrain ar hyd Heol Orllewinol y Bont-faen a Western Avenue i Gyfnewidfa Gabalfa, yr A470 Manor Way tua’r gogledd i Gyfnewidfa Coryton a’r M4 tua’r gorllewin i Gyfnewidfa Capel Llanilltern: i’r gwrthwyneb i draffig sy’n teithio tua’r de o Gyfnewidfa Capel Llanilltern.

THE A4232 TRUNK ROAD (CAPEL LLANILLTERN TO CULVERHOUSE CROSS, CARDIFF) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

THE WELSH MINISTERS have made an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to undertake works on or near the A4232 trunk road between Capel Llanilltern (M4 Junction 33) and Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles, other than those being used by the emergency services and for the works, from proceeding on the lengths of the A4232 trunk road specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The alternative routes are also described therein.

The Order comes into force on 22 August 2023. The temporary prohibition is expected to operate intermittently overnight (20:00 – 06:00 hours) from 22 August 2023 for a maximum duration of 18 months.

SCHEDULE
Temporary prohibition of vehicles
1. The lengths of the A4232 northbound and southbound carriageways (including the southbound dedicated lane at Junction 33) that extend from a point 352 metres north-west of the centre-point of Culverhouse Cross Interchange to the junction with the circulatory carriageway at Capel Llanilltern Interchange (M4 Junction 33).

Alternative route
The alternative route for northbound traffic from Culverhouse Cross Interchange is via the eastbound A48 Cowbridge Road West and Western Avenue to Gabalfa Interchange, northbound A470 Manor Way to Coryton Interchange and westbound M4 to Capel Llanilltern Interchange: vice versa for southbound traffic from Capel Llanilltern Interchange.

2. The lengths of the A4232 northbound entry and southbound exit slip roads at Culverhouse Cross Interchange.

Alternative route
The alternative route from Culverhouse Cross Interchange is via the southbound A4232 to Leckwith Interchange, exit and return via the northbound A4232 to either continue on the northbound A4232 or exit at Culverhouse Cross.
