MODIFICATION TO PROPOSALS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Derby City Council proposes to make the above Orders under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III if schedule 9 to the 1984 Act proposes to make the following Orders.

The purpose of the Orders will be to introduce:
Loading Only (At Any Time) to replace No Waiting (At Any Time)
• Outside 40 Babington Lane

Loading Only (At Any Time) to replace Pay and Display (Max 2 Hours Mon-Sat 8am-8pm Sun 10am-4pm) (Permit Holder Exemption)
• Outside 40 Babington Lane

Disabled Badge Holders Only (3 Hours No Return 1 Hour) to replace 
No Waiting (At Any Time)
• Outside 11 Babington Lane

No Waiting (At Any Time) No Loading (At Any Time) to replace No Waiting (At Any Time)
• Outside 11 to 9 Babington Lane 

No Waiting (At Any Time) No Loading (At Any Time) to replace No Waiting (At Any Time) No Loading (10am-5pm) 
• Outside 9 Babington Lane
• Between 5 and 7 Babington Lane
• From 4 Babington Lane to 105 St Peters Street
• Outside 78-80 St Peters Street
• Outside 82 St Peters Street
• Outside 96-98 St Peters Street
• Outside 10 to 14 Osmaston Road, on both sides

No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway extent only) to replace No Waiting (At Any Time) No Loading (10am-5pm)
• Outside 115 St Peters Street

No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway extent only) to replace Disabled Badge Holders Only (3 Hours No Return 1 Hour) 
• Outside 115 to 119 St Peters Street

Buses, cycles and hackney carriages only, except for loading 5pm-10am, exemptions 1,2,3 and 6 to replace Prohibition of driving of motor vehicles, exemptions 1,5
• Babington Lane, from its junction with Gower Street to St Peters Street 
• St Peters Street, from Babington Lane to its junction with Osmaston Road and London Road

Mandatory cycle lane
• Contrafow cycle lane from St Peters Street’s junction with Osmaston Road and London Road to Babington Lane’s junction with Gower Street. 

MODIFICATION
No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except E-Taxis) to replace No Stopping 
(At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway extent only) 
• Outside 107 to 111 St Peters Street

No Waiting and No Loading (10am-5pm) Loading Only (5pm-10am) 
to replace Disabled Badge Holders Only (3 Hours No Return 1 Hour)
• From outside 96-98 St Peters Street to 8 Osmaston Road

A copy of the proposed Orders together with maps which show the defnitive extents of the proposals, a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for proposing the Orders and the Orders being amended, may be inspected online at https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro Objections to the proposals stating your grounds of objection should be sent, in writing, to Traffic & Transportation, Communities and Place, Derby City Council, The Council House, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS or by email to traffc.management@derby. gov.uk to be received no later than 1st September 2023
