What is happening?

BURY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (IRWELL ST, RAMSBOTTOM) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-

Frwell St, Ramsbottom - from its junction with Railway St for a distance of 30 m in a westerly direction.

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate electricity cabling works. The alternative route will be via Palatine St, King St & Railway St & vice versa The Order will come into operation on Sunday 20 August 2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is 2 days.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (RAWSONS RAKE & CHAPEL LANE, RAMSBOTTOM) TEMPORARY CLOSURE 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-

1) Rawsons Rake, Ramsbottom - between Dundee Lane & Chapel Lane

2) Chapel Lane, Ramsbottom - between Rawsons Rake & Helmshore Rd The reason for the proposed order is to access carriageway chambers.

The alternative route will be via Helmshore Rd, Lumb Carr Rd, Bolton Rd West & Dundee Lane St & vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into operation on Tuesday 29 August 2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is 3 days.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along :- WALKER ST, BURY- At junction of Parkhills Rd

The reason for the proposed order is for maintenance of a UU flow monitor. The alternative route will be A56, RICHMOND ST, BRIERLEY ST vice versa The Order comes into operation on 20/08/2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 1 day.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as follows:-

A copy of the draft 20mph Speed Limit Order, plans showing the roads and areas affected, a schedule of all streets included and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order and introducing the proposals may be requested by email at trafficxalmingfSlburv.gov.uk quoting reference TM34/20/9

All representations whether in support or objecting to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to the Head of Engineering, 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury BL9 0EJ or preferably by email to traffic.calmingfaiburv.gov.uk quoting ref: TM34/20/9 by 7th September 2023. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.
