What is happening?
WEST LOTHIAN COUNCIL
ELECTION OF MEMBERS TO SERVE ON CARMONDEAN AND DEANS COMMUNITY COUNCILS - SECOND CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
A second call for nominations from registered electors who wish to seek election to serve on
• CARMONDEAN COMMUNITY COUNCIL or
• DEANS COMMUNITY COUNCIL for the period to September/October 2025 is now underway. Timescales and further details are set out below:-
1. The closing date for acceptance of nominations for election to both community councils is 5pm on Thursday 14th September 2023.
2. The closing date for withdrawal of nominations for both community councils is 5pm on Thursday 21 September 2023.
3. A minimum of 4 valid nominations must be received for each area in order to set up the respective community council. If less than 4 nominations are received, no community council will be established in that area.
4. The maximum number of members allowed on each community council is 12. If more than 12 nominations are received an election may be necessary for that community council area.
