C424 Berwick Bridge - Temporary Road Closure

C424 BERWICK BRIDGE BERWICK UPON TWEED
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C424 Berwick Bridge Berwick upon Tweed from its junction with the U107 heading in a southerly direction for a length of 290 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 4th September 2023 until the 4th April 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 4th September 2023 until the 4th March 2024 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; the order however will remain in place until 4th April 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the U111, A1167, C424 and vice-versa

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council road closure to carry out parapet repairs. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
