What is happening?

“The Aberdeenshire Council (Bridge Road, Kemnay) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order,

2023” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984. The order will operate from 21/08/23 until 03/12/23 and will prohibit any person from driving on Bridge Road, Kemnay from the junction with Aquithie Road to the junction with Riverside Road. Please note this is a rolling programme of work therefore not all sections will be closed at the same time. It is not possible to provide exact dates for each section, however the restriction will only be in force when signs indicative of the closure are displayed at the location.

An alternative route is available via Riverside Road and Station Road. Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.

The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety due to works in connection with a new water main. Details of the restriction can be viewed online at Any queries should be directed to Elizabeth Ross on 01467 535368.
