What is happening?

THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (A801)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
(NO.TTRO/1885) ORDER 2023

The Council has made the above-named Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit vehicles on the A801 from C62 to A706 and the short local road linking the A801 south of the River Avon to the A706 from 0930 hours until 1630 hours on 14/08/2023. The prohibition is to allow for the inspection of bridge no. A801/120.

2. This Order temporarily closes road A801 from the C62 junction, approximately 250m east of Melonsplace Farm, to the A706 junction, approximately 300m south of bridge no. A801/120 and the short local road linking the A801 south of the bridge to the A706. Local access will be maintained.
3. The alternative route for HGVs is: A801 in a northerly direction, M9 in an easterly and then southernly direction via M9 junction 4, M8 in a westerly direction via M8 junction 2, A801 in a northerly direction via M8 junction 4 and vice versa.
The alternative route for non-HGVs is: A801 in a northerly direction, A803 in an easterly direction via Linlithgow, A706 in a south westerly direction and vice versa.
